So my baby Ranger is having a heck of a time healing her pet. The hover text over the first healing skill says it heals both yourself AND your pet, but when I activate it, it only heals me. If I target my pet and activate it, it still only heals me. Am I missing something completely obvious here?

Your pet is probably downed, and you think yo ucan heal it while it’s still down. Make sure he’s alive before trying to heal him. Because they work fine together.

Honestly, I very rarely use that heal skill to heal my pet. If your pet is getting low on health, swap pets. It gives you a pet w/ a full health bar and (if traited, which you should be) 2sec of quickness. And, if I understand correctly, if you swap pets while they’re alive it’s a 20sec CD. If you wait till they’re dead, it’s a full 60sec CD. 20 sec between full pet heals > partial heal with #6 skill on longer CD.

Seras, good idea. At the time I only had the one pet, but now I’m collecting them like Pokemon! Now I swap them in battle no problem.

Is Troll Unguent as strong at lvl80 as it is at low levels?

At lvl1 it heals for like 900, where as other healing skills of other professions barely hit 150. I wondered if it stays so strong later on?

Troll Unguent heals for more than either of the other two heals, but it has its drawbacks. It has a longer cast time which makes it easier to interrupt, and it’s a heal over time so big burst can damage right through it. But yes, it’s very good at 80.

It’s not as much better than the other heals as you described though. At 80, it heals for 8560 over 10 seconds, where Heal as One heals for 6520.
