Atm i have 3 80’s :
-Guardian med build : its quite easy to play , i can make mistakes and top the matchranks with points easely
-Thief ( main with release) : not that difficult to play , LOTS of escape abilities , im doin fairly well if i concentrate haha
- Ranger : don’t know but it i find it difficult to play ( don’t shoot me) or maybe i suck at it lol
But , im having fun on my ranger
hope druid will be awesome

Condi:
- not being able to put out big burns like other classes, as well as no torment

Laugh out loud @ wanting to give everything to every profession.

why is this funny? look how abysmal torch is now. its literally a flaming torch and we still put out significantly low burning compared to guardian, ele, and engi, which get burning stacks for free practically. and Dont say bonfire cuz its trash atm. with burning being the new most power condi, we aren’t a great condi class if we cant dish it out. Plain and simple.

and wanting torment is somehow, silly? last time I checked warrior, necro, and mesmer all have torment, in addition to other powerful condis. its not that exclusive Rangers have poison with kittenty poison traits. woo. not like other classes can make poison right? certainly not simply by clicking on a little sigil called doom.

so what condi is ranger good at then? Bleed, the kittentiest condi atm.

additionally, we don’t have confusion, which is one of the most powerful condis in pvp. confusion and burning is what makes condi engi so friggin strong.

I dont want to complain because I really like the changes put in to rangers but compared to the other classes its crap. Before the patch I felt that I can help much more to the team but now its like stay back because everyone 1 shots you but you cant really 1 shot them.

AN can really put some more work in to rangers because right now ranger is a PVE class and not PVP class. Am I the only one who feels like that?

Not at all. In PvP, the only classes I worry about are heavy-healing and condition guardians, and heavy HP/draining necromancers. The others have no chance of killing me. It might take a while to kill the other classes, but I do it.

In PvE? Let’s not even discuss it. I don’t need a nerf, thank you.

I think, to be fair, it’s a question of skill, traits, and gear. So, honestly, your mileage may vary.

Condition Guardian is a one-trick pony compare to D/D ele. How can you have trouble with it when you don’t have trouble dealing with D/D? The bulkiness difference is sky and ground.

They might be more massive healing than anything. Like I said, healing/condition. No idea, to be fair, since I don’t have or play a guardian. But they do tend to give me issues.

the IMHO only viable build that has some aspects it’s really good at that other classes don’t do 10 times better or without the drawbacks of the ranger is a teamfight-oriented defensive roamer with traps:

I’ve tested about 20+ variations of this build, with cele/settler-amu, other weapons and runes, sigils, shouts, beastmastery instead of nature magic etc. but this is the one that best plays to it’s strengths and has the clearest role.
Against good players that don’t just walk into your pre-laid traps and run with too less condi-removal, it’s not on the same level as current 1v1 builds, so stay with the team.

What does this build do?

- Traps are pretty strong counter-stealth play, which are very very common in top-tier teams. It’s basically the main way to engage a fight.
- Traps give you kind of mapvision: Place them at key points while roaming defensively and if they are triggered, you’ll see the condition-ticks while looking in their direction. It’s kind of an early warning of movement, even against stealth-movement.
- The build has very high dps to blow up sm1 on a point and good AoE/CC for teamfights.
- Survival is good enough not to be spiked too easily, but the sustain isn’t high enough for 1v1’s. If your team has some other supports for teamfighting, like Shoutguard, Ele’s etc. It’ll be enough for teamfights though.
- Traps also offer you an option to counter offensive portals.

If your team has enough swiftness, you can also use Krait-Runes, which gives some more punch to the build.
