Guild Wars 2

Greetings, fellow rangers!

Today I’m here to promote a project that once our brother in arms, Jasper Deftarrow, proposed.
He created a guild Energizing Wind with a purpose of bringing the community of all skill levels together to help share experience / data / builds / feedback / opinions and most importantly the love for profession.

The guild does not hold any represent or duty requirements and works only as a social network of players with common class to play.

With the recent increasing number of players I’ve been discussing with privately I realized this project is something that might help all of us save a lot of time and bring a bit of casual into all the theory-crafting.

I’d be in. I’m always down for theorycrafting, testing out how mechanics work and stuff, there is plenty of stuff that’s hard to test alone.

It’s still a fresh project but I really liked the idea. And it makes it much easier for players to discuss. If it keeps growing it will definitely become a cool place.
We’ve already had a blast testing a build in PvP.

Already a member, but I’m glad to see this guild growing! I see a very fun guild pvp ranger team happening.

Could anyone who by any chance asked for an invite and still haven’t received one shout out one more time for me?
I’ve been a bit busy and I do have a very nasty chill coming down my spine I might have left someone out. But I can’t seem to remember who it was and I think it was someone who didn’t post in here but came to me in-game.

There were some people who I couldn’t yet invite due to having 5 active guilds already, too.

I’m still a rookie when it comes to stuff like this so please, bear with me. Anyone who I left out will be treated a cookie.

You guys should share experiment results on the forums too.

It’s interesting that even now druid basically doesn’t have a “meta” build. Just a bunch of “well, that will work” builds. Compare that to something like herald where the build is totally obvious to someone who doesn’t even play GW2. I guess that puts us in sort of a good spot since we have a lot of options.

I well intend to.
And actually… All PvE meta builds are already shared. It’s not about “this will do”. It’s that it doesn’t matter if we camp CAF as much as possible or maximize our own DPS. The Raid DPS stays basically same at both scenarios. And when it comes to the maximized meta build for extreme speed runs – I already shared that build.

When it comes to PvP, I intend to create a thread about all types that are strong but I’m waiting for gw2skills to get updated. I already created a thread for people to list their suggestions.

I’m pretty sure this guild is dead. I’ve talked to people who applied.

I don’t know if it’s ‘dead’ but it’s certainly not up there with other guilds post HoT, no Guild Hall for example. There are still 96 members, of whom 90% have been online in the last week.

I can’t tell …
… There was a member who said he’s glad that WIND got created since the former guild does no longer exist in terms of activity.

I didn’t really question it and rather than invading the guild that I have literally zero privileges in and no contacts from – I decided to support a project that I had some control over and I could be of help to others.

If anyone from Favorable Winds says they want to merge or I got a word they are active that might be a completely different matter.
If I get a word they want to merge even now – I’m cool with it. Reason why WIND was born to life is because even up till now there hasn’t been a single body to say a word and I got nothing but positive feedback.

Hey Tragic, or any officer really I’d like to suggest a guild PVP team since that’s where most of my time goes (semi-casual cause I have kids).

I’m not an expert at it but I think I’m fair with a good team, I could definitely try and mentor some newer ranger players. I’ve won pretty mightily with a team of 4 rangers before….it would still be fun to try.

raises hand I’m a slacker for sure. Sorry man, I’ll still log on from time to time to see if pvp is gonna be my friend but I don’t have much time either really. If I’m on I’d be down for all ranger whatever.

Ugh god I ran into a 3 ranger PUG the other day (edit: on Khylo of all places ). Was impossible to kill anything. I didn’t know whether to be happy for my profession reppin’ so hard, or kittened I lost my winning streak.

So I hit my head and went back to playing my necro cause he also has a greatsword. Thinking I’d stay necro forever i left the guild. Then I got tired of swinging my greatsword in slow motion, and remembered why I loved my ranger so much. Please forgive my transgressions against the ranger and accept me back into the glorious guild. ^.^

God, how could I even miss this?

luckyny – you already have 5 guilds (or invites to other guilds, some other fellas had the same issue where they didn’t realize other invitations even with less than 5 guilds). I’ll try again shortly or you can just poke me here or in-game with a mail when you get it done.
