The current status is: Under construction

Class balance and changes takes a while, several months, so all we can do for now is wait and embrace for the impact :P

I doubt even that probably some more tool tip corrections, silence on the progression of integrating sword with the rest of the game, and at least one unwarranted nerf.

Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.

The class doesn’t need a total overhaul. It needs a lot of tweaks, but not an overhaul.

We haven’t see much (or any) progress since the CDI, though.

The class doesn’t need a total overhaul. It needs a lot of tweaks, but not an overhaul.

We haven’t see much (or any) progress since the CDI, though.

I’m totally new to ranger (made it a few days ago) and I looked at the CDI page and noticed that the very first suggestion was adding a way to make ranger’s be the best users of poison in the game, and I noticed that one of the “new” GMs is poison master. I’m not sure if that trait is worth taking, but its kind of a little funny if they read the very first post and took that suggestion but ignored all the others!

Poison Master is about the only thing I’ve seen that incorporated CDI suggestions.

And it is actually a pretty kitten good trait.

Ah that explains it, it must be really cool to have predicted it coming though! Since I just made a ranger I won’t be able to unlock this trait for a loooong time since I’m stingy, but hopefully I can test it out on a condition build eventually, since it is a pretty substantial buff for poison.

I agree IT COULD be a great trait, but i will never ever 100% touch it because EB is 100 times more important than a poison trait…. if this trait was in another line I could think of some uses but if you aren’t running EB in roaming/spvp scenarios, you aren’t a good ranger

That is probably because the trait was already in existance before the CDI and with there volume of suggestion at least one would hit on something that the designer had already decided on.

Each of your posts ends with a L2P phrase, you should change a bit, you cant balance a game AROUND pro players , you must balance it AROUND average players.

Just leave Prysin alone guys, s/he’s so pro to be argued with, learnt so much things even plays in a style of faceroll to play.

There is no change for ranger since no developer logged in their rangers. Only pet responsiveness changed but still pets are dying so quick. I played hunter in wow for years, never thought pet as a burden but thanks to gw2 i learnt an ancient mechanic with a little tweaking can’t work in a novel system, while you decide your dodges and defences, mindless ai can’t help you with it. To be better you must decide every move with a little of micro managing, look at warriors, they don’t have a lot micro managing type skill and easy to play because of it. For engineer and hunter there are tons of things to consider and mind it, eventually game turns out to be harder and harder.

It must take a lot of skills to properly 2-hit kill rangers or stunlock them in place forever, or just to play any other imba class…

No, it actualy takes skills to survive at all – as a ranger,
and takes at least very casual skills to die from one
