Ranger's pet
Try switching to a ranged pet (spider or devourer) or to a canine. Canines have a fast rate of attack and a very short attack animation that is seldom dodged in comparison to something like a raven.
Honestly I asked this question like a week ago https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/ranger/Best-pet-when-attacking-a-moving-target/first#post857719
A few things I have noticed. Canines are by far the best at staying on target even when moving due to knock down, cripple, and fast attack animations across the board.
F2 abilities depending on which one you use are really aided by clearing the attack que bar for your pet ie F3 then F2. On swap the bar clears and if your traited you have quickness up for you and your pet hit f2 and you’ll likely see the cast cut from 5 to 1 second.
Last I checked short bow was already nerfed. Afaik this is like any argument that one thing must be nerfed so the other is balanced and that strictly wrong. Pets are UP not in damage but ai and animations. There is no reason to lower one thing in favor of the other the ai should be working properly and it is not. There is no trade off necessary here. They should fix the pets period.

It’s not only that, but with the release of more and more Ascended gear, I fear that pets will get worse and worse because their stats won’t scale up to Ascended levels.
Their stats scale up to Rare equipment at best as it is, it’s going to be quite a big gap from Rare to Ascended.
