Ranger spirit build
It’s actually a “whose spirit buffs who first” sorta thing, you can’t have 2 sun spirit buffs and I’m pretty sure it’s first come first serve so if someone has the 70% trait and the other ranger doesn’t they should just bow out their spirits for the sake of the group.

Don’t run the same spirit. If one takes sun spirit, the other takes frost.

Also, spirit buffs will stack if one set of spirits is not traited with vigorous spirits and the other is. This means you can have a 70% chance to inflict burning and a 35% chance on top of that.

I’m almost positive this has been changed, I may be wrong though.

I just tested this in sPvP and they still stack.

Oh wow really? Well that’s good then!! Pretty happy that didn’t change.

Actually this works the best. Same thing usually occurred with Ritualists in Guild Wars 1. One rit would use one set of spirits, and the second rit would use a group of other spirits. This allows the rangers to use other support skills, while still getting the buff of the other spirits from other rangers.
Is it just me or water spirit is a other epic fail from our “pro” balance director?
More I see what they do for the ranger is laughing at us, I am sure they read our topic on forum and laugh… Rare the time when I hear “need a ranger in my group” never hear that exempt for that cheeze spirit “noob” build…
I see every new healing spell and even if you are spec spirit, that skill is a dump.
WORK ON OUR PET IS OUR MECHANIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you have rather had a Shout as our new heal? I mean that would be cool if they could figure it out… but idk how they could do that…
I personally think the spirit is strong, it’s a nice support heal and it allows your team to be more spread out for the healing than if you were to use Healing Spring (being a 1k radius and all), I do think adding another spirit is “TOO SOON!!” as a certain person would say, they were trying to “add build variety” with the heals, yet they just further enforced an already heavily played build for us…

Water spirit is good to address ranger viability in dungeons. Not so much in pvp.
Now we provide enough support to warrant 1 ranger on a team. (Spotter, frost, heal)

I hate spirit I play BM but AI in this game is weak.

Actually sPvP i’ve found it works pretty well, i’m not sure if i’d wanna take it with 3 other spirits though is the thing, i just feel like that’d be too long to cast…

Waterspirit is even nice in WvW, just needs more HP, maybe if they made it like SoN.

Yeah, imo it should be bulkier than the other spirits because it’s our kittening heal and we gotta cast for like, what? 5s or something ridiculous like that to get the bloody thing off….
Still think that the actual HEAL of water spirit should be instant or nearly instant like rest of the spirits and the counter play would be interrupting the spirit summoning itself or killing the spirit before IT casts the heal

cool, thank you for the info. That is good to know.
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and suggestions. I am new to the spirit build, but my group guildies I do dungeons and fractals with really like having the spirits, and I am enjoying using them. The water spirit is great when grouping with others, but I change it out when solo in pve. So far we have only had me as a spirit ranger in the group, but I will keep in mind if we do get another to have us each use different spirits. Thanks again.
