Guild Wars 2

I just got my Ranger to 80 earlier today. It was my last 80, last because it never really excited me. Bu now it’s become one of my favourite roaming classes. I made a variation of the RRR build, using Cleric’s trinkets instead of Apothecary (Apothecary’s too expensive) and a trait or 2 different from the norm. I got a lot of great fights in my first few hours, below are a couple I managed to get on video.

I always found the bow to be boring, running Sword/Dagger and Axe/Torch is great fun though and very action packed.

Anyone have any good Ranger 1vX videos?

I agree – love my Ranger. My second favourite class behind my Necro.

Yeah, for roaming in WvW it’s amazing. I’ve never been so confident going 1vX with a class. Not even Mesmer.

Yeah I think it was one of your video’s that got me interested in running a build like this. To me it seems like it’s the Ranger version of the D/D Ele, as in it’s a veritable tank with its healing, and is imo the strongest build for this class, much like D/D is for Ele.

It makes me wonder why more people don’t use it. Bow Rangers are no problem with this build. There’s one in the video I posted, popping in late in the fight.

Funny you should say that, I’ve been playing a relatively bunker Mesmer. Well, it’s got 1600 toughness. Been toying with the idea of making a more bunker version, with reflection on the Focus.

I am having a blast on my ranger; sword/dagger and axe/torch usually as well though GS is awesome too. Bows when needed. I did not expect melee ranger to be so fun!

I wish we had 3 weapon sets. Regen is the only constant for me. I switch to a power build with GS+S/D…then go to a condition build with S/D + A/T

The variety in game play keeps things fresh for me.

I have 3 80’s ranger was my first character I leveled. After playing other classes I found I always came back to my ranger. I don’t run a typical build or any of the popular builds. But I find I do alright against enemies in WvW, plus I run with a Mesmer buddy of mine.

I like my ranger so much I invested in tier 3 Norn cult armor and its my first choice when I log on.

Ranger is truly fun with a signet burst build. Granted its not the most efficient build out there, but its hilarious!
