Rangers need a heal that can be traited
I’d actually like it, particularly, since it is heal as one, it could be worked in to a trait in the beastmastery line.

Pretty cool idea, maybe there could be a trait that makes it stack with pets healing bonus or some such thing.

Made me think of a heal as one rework:
Heal as One, Signet, 25s cooldown (20s traited).
Passive: Pet attacks heal the player, and player attacks heal the pet.
Active: Heal you and your pet for x health

Well generally I wouldn’t assume that a signet heal would be doing something other than passively healing, so on my particular suggestion it at least takes the thief/ele version to passively heal through being active.
However, it could be reworked into a passive condition removal (one of the areas the class severely lacks diverse options for, removing conditions) and an active heal.

Just add a new heal with the new Utilities, “Signet of Companionship” Passive (as you said), Active: Heals you and the pet, if your pet has more health (%) than you, you are healed for more, if your pet is dead they are also rezzed, 25s CD.

A lot of skills are incredibly similar to GW1 skills, for example Dual Shot, Crip Shot = Strike as One, Most the traps do what they did in GW1 except they’re limited in amount of traps but not easy rupts etc.
I think it’d be a fitting addition, would also be a great way to heal, and give people an option to trash their heal skill to rez their pet in areas where they can afford it.

If Heal As One was made a shout type, then at least it could be traited for adding regen, and/or reduced time.
But the signet idea mentioned above where pet attacks heal, and your own attacks heal pet is interesting as well. Only problem would be it would still not see much useage in pvp or wvw in my opinion due to pet kiting.

Heal as One counting as a shout is an interesting idea. -20% shout cooldown and 10s regen and 10s swiftness from Nature’s Voice. It sounds overpowered though, but at least using Guard wouldn’t be a requirement for Nature’s Voice.
We can trait Healing Sprint, sort of, by adding vigor to it (even for allies) and increasing the regen duration.
Are you sure all classes can reduce the cooldown on a heal except for the Ranger?
Because Ranger healing is just SOOOOO Bad…..
Ranger’s have 2 of the best heals in the game: Troll Unguent & Healing Spring. Each have thier place in specific builds that excel.
We do not need changes to our healing.
We need better synergy, as pointed out in the patch thread, between weapons and traits.
Also, why give us traits that grant crits on longbow, when the crits on that weapon are ridiculously low? Very poorly thought out.
Heal as One becoming a Signet is interesting too. Especially with the active being a pet rez.
I’d be happy if heal as one stayed the same, but it would also rez the pet when activated.
Wilderness has a trait “heal skills give vigor.” The vigor is “traiting” the heal. For heal as one and troll ungunet the trait isn’t great, but for healing spring the vigor pulses in aoe for a total of 18s aoe vigor.

Uh we have the best scaling heals in the game? HaO and Spring are both 1:1, and then TU is like .85 healing power or something still kittening high up.

It’s not that we don’t have 2 great heals, it’s that one of our heals sees very little use, and in addition we are the only class without a typed heal that can be traited.
I thought bringing these two together would be nice in order to make HaO a more viable selection.
It may not be the most needed change (obviously), but I thought a discussion might bring up some good ideas.
