Rapid Fire - 8x instead of 10x?
Engineers have a 10x Channel on the flamethrower’s 1 key.

A 8x channel would be a buff if it still equaled out to the same damage a 10x would be.
ok, thats another thing. I thought you just wanted us to fire two times less (wich would result in less dmg if they don’t adjust the animation)
But honestly I don’t care how many shots are fired if the result remains the same.
The difference is that you’d get the channel time off faster, thus increasing your damage.

All for a change like this. Heck, they could make it 5x for all i care, if damage would be equal. Same damage as now, in half the time.
But it should also be easier to dodge. I can dodge two times while Rapid Fire is channeled. With 10x it’s nearly impossible to dodge ALL hits. With just 8x I think it might be possible.

Comparing us to thieves and calling for a longbow nerf? You’re asking for mobs of people with torches and pitchforks to come looking for you.
Edit: Ah, nevermind, you cleared it up…I’ll put away the pitchfork. I also thought you wanted Rangers to fire less.

Re-read what I wrote Corpse. I’ll clarify it in my post. I’m saying a 8x channel with the same damage output as a 10x, thus not a nerf.

Every 60 – 45 seconds (if traited) i (try to) kill a guy !
Its damage may be decent but the cast time of the skill makes it practically unviable if not played with Quickening Zephyr. Finally the animation of the skill is so profound and blatant that its practically impossible for it to land properly.
I would go even lower than 8. Warrior rifle volley has 5…
Make this 7 so we can squeeze a few more arrows out when you stack rapid fire with barrage.

Not the same thing. You’re still firing 10 shots in the volley, only you do it supposedly in half the time.
Higher number of shots, the smaller the damage per arrow and the more opportunity for you to miss and for the target to dodge. It’s always better to take fewer shots and ideally to deliver your damage in a single pay load. Just look at backstabs on thieves or killshots on warriors.
