I used to bring a longbow with me but I swapped to a different weapon due to the change to Rapid Fire. It may be stronger but it looks like I’m shooting a machine gun. I had a similar problem with shortbow so now I use axe for range.

Am I the only one feeling this way?

If they wanted to speed up the cast time of the attack they could have halved the number of shots while doubling the effect (2xVuln+2xDmg or 2xArrows). Right now the animation looks ridiculous.

Fighting a dragon with a size simillar to Ancalagon the Black I can take, walking around with some small mastermind creatures, huge minotaur like monsters, and plant made creatures I can take. But you guys, I can’t stand it when I shot 10 arrows in 2.5 seconds… It’s just not realistic!

I never said it wasn’t realistic (it is not), I complain about the feel of it. It doesn’t feel like a longbow. It was already unrealistic before the patch, but I could stand it at least.

What if anything about this game or most games of this type is realistic? My skinny ranger chick just sprouted wings, flew 40 yards with a great sword bigger than her. NOT REALISTIC

a single arrow sending a mob flying backwards NOPE

Shooting a couple arrows into the sky causing hundreds of arrows to fall from the sky? Don’t think so…

Shooting an arrow that makes you invisible? Pretty sure that’s not realistic either!

Oh wait auto attack must be realistic! Not even close…..

Yeah, I have to refrain from trying to impart my senses of realism onto bows in this game. Like the warrior longbow trait for increased range being “Stronger Bowstrings”. It is an astoundingly common misconception that the bowstring is the mechanical strength of the bow.

Rapid Fire always seemed like it belonged on the Shortbow, thematically.

Oh well. Either way, the animation speed on Rapid Fire is just…comedic now. Even more so with QZ. It’s like Green Arrow and the Flash had a kid.
