ZzZz | Zombie Coast
For the Toast!
(edited by Eternum.1706)
This isn’t primarily used for the main zerg, but rather havoc groups and small open-field fights. Feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Really quick, I don’t understand why you have signet of stone. Longbow is bad. I would think you would want IV in Nature’s Magic to double frost spirit proc chance. All your condi removal is tied to your heal skill. I personally don’t like those runes, I would pick ruby orbs instead. You have almost no cc. Your sigils could use some work. Just at a glance, I’m sure I could dig up more things I don’t like.
Wait, your my enemy this week… Too bad I’m too lazy to delete my advice.
You need to chose between a:
- Berseker build (longbow, high crit proc and damage, low surviability (berseker equips))
- Spirit build (frost spirit, points in Nature Magic, warhorn, group buffs)
- Bunker build (Entangle)
Take a look at these:
In all honesty, I’d just want to run a set with S/W that would do effectively in WvW, so what type of set would complement that best? What are the pros / cons of the sets you listed?
You don’t have to run those 3 builds Masculino. Traps are 100% viable and excellent at area control. I recently switched from traps to what started as GS/LB but switched to GS/SB. Longbow is really mediocre. The stealth on the 3 skill isn’t useful, Barrage hurts you used on zergs. I currently just plink away until our zerg initiates then use GS to swoop in active Quickening Zephyr and you’re evading pretty quickly so it goes fairly well. It also is quite good at roaming.
This is my current build.

Signet of the Hunt is only used for running it gets swapped for Technobauble when roaming in small groups or Pain Inverter for ZvZ.

Looks fine. I would only change two things; add more vitality and make traits 20/20/20/10/0. Precise Strike isn’t really worth taking over a major trait.
Clerics tank…. for roaming/havoc it will simply be unrivaled. Your enemies DPS does not matter one single bit, since your healing is so monstrously powerful.
Passive HP regen with this build should be around 350-400/second

That build looks pretty fun, is it pet reliant? Are there any videos of it in action?
Thanks in advance.
I changed up the build a bit, tell me what you think:
First off, you didnt choose a weapon type… second of all, you used gems, instead of runes, which isn’t that smart. The overall stats seems low. Even if going for zerker DPS, it is still horrible. The fact that you put a few knight’s pieces in there does more damage then good, as the puny toughness boost will not compensate for the DPS loss.
your traits are also a complete mess. and makes no sense besides a half hearted attempt at getting more defense, and retaining maximum power. It didnt work.
What i would do, is redo the build along these lines;
Max power and sustain.

It may seem strange, but it will be able to give you that which you seem to seek.
They way to play this build, would be to stand back, for as long as possible
, and let your pet eat away their HP, while you pound the enemy with the longbow. When going defensive, or melee, summon the moa. Moa will provide you with SOME protection, but it won’t last long. It will also give you Vigor, which will help you keep the evades up. Once into melee range, pop quickening zephyr and use Axe #5. This will give you retaliation, but also apply 10 stacks of vulnerability on the enemy, along with a significant damage. For even greater effect, use Axe #4 just before activating quickening Zephyr and Axe 5. This will knock down the enemy, making sure they eat your entire “burst” without the ability to get away.
Once things get uncomfortable, fire off LB 4, then LB 3 and RUN….
This build will NOT allow you to live forever. It will however, grant you a slightly higher survival chance then if you ran pure zerker. The damage loss is minimum, so you will enjoy 90% of a zerker builds DPS, with the added advantage of being able to hammer down enemies using the pet. Squishy’ness goes down a few notches, damage remains.
