Something has been bothering me for a long time, even if the latest balance patch made attempts at lessening the issue.

The Marksmanship minor traits seem incomplete without Remorseless GM trait. And quite honestly, the Longbow builds seem incomplete without both Remorseless and Lead the Wind. Also, consider that Ranger power damage is sub par compared to other classes in ALL game modes.

My proposal would be thus:
- Merge the current Master and GM minor traits into a single Master trait
- Move remorseless as it is to GM minor trait spot
- Introduce a new Defensive minded GM trait. Keen eye – Ranger and pet receive 20% less damage from foes beyond 600 range

I agree, those 3 minor traits have always been underwhelming without the GM. Making Remorseless a GM minor makes sense.

I like the addition of the 2s cripple, but again, without remorseless it’s pretty terrible.

You can also just add the ‘reset on fury’ to the minor GM trait and keep Remorseless where it is with just a flat 25% damage.

I’d say: Remove the old minor trait and add the “gain opening strike on fury” as the new third minor. For remorseless gain a buff after opening strike that increases dmg for a short duration.

well, considering that pretty much every power build runs predator’s onslaught anyway, this is kind of a moot point. But for remorseless to be made a grandmaster minor, the +25% damage component would need to be removed, as it would be too strong for a grandmaster minor. I feel like remorseless was in a good spot before predator’s onslaught got buffed, and the pulsing fury from strength of the pack got nerfed. It offers a unique playstyle that other specs don’t, but it’s just not strong enough anymore to compete with the buffed predator’s onslaught.

For me precise strike and remorseless are useless as i have 100% crit chance aslong as i have fury so i’d rather the damage increase be moved to precise strike and maybe give remorseless a short quickness on fury instead

Which really just means you’re wasting a lot of stats on precision when you don’t need to. For PvP anyhow.

I’m a wvw roamer/sniper i mainly hunt thieves etc trying to flip camps, it’s very effective when they melt to a single rapid fire burst even in stealth (if i fire quick enough)
