I want to be constructive here and not complain, but it is frustrating that in spvp, one of my greatest deathbringers is retaliation.

1v1 this is easy to counter, but what use is a ranger in a big group combat if he cannot even fire arrows without killing himself? Am I meant to melee? I do not think this is a l2p issue, I have over 100 spvp games on this ranger, and do very well with him regardless, but to constantly die by my own sword, as it were…

Retaliation plus barrage… Not a good combination.

Hahaha ya i shot a Barrage off into a mob and i was running for my life rolling and healing trying to figure out what the hell was on me hitting me for a for a few hundred a few times per second.

Rage + Zephyr + SB hurts a lot too…

im using a beastmastery build and since my pet does half of my dmg its not a prob.actually i use the haste from pet swapping for the casting spells and for finishing foes.i know that QZ in a retaliation foe hurts..maybe you can boost some of your healing spells to counter it,some signet or the spirit elite..more players throw their defensive skills at the start so they can have it at the end of the fight.focus nuking QZ in between

swap to horn, CotW, Healing Spring, daze, pet howl boons…in a large group become support when Retaliation is hounding you.
