You really hurt the class with the last set of nerfs.

A huge part of our damage came from bristleback and smokescale, you nerfed the f2 on bb so hard. It can be completely avoided in 1 dodge and even if it hits it only does like 15-20% or (usually) less of a person’s health.

We don’t have enough condi clear anymore, so we have to take off beastmastery for wilderness survival, which is another big hit to our damage.

After you gutted Search and Rescue, I haven’t seen it used a SINGLE time so far. From a PvP standpoint, we don’t do damage, we are outsupported by tempest, and we are very vulnerable to condis without reducing our damage/survivability even more. Our job is to literally evade on a point for as long as we can while the rest of the team does the work.

Please revert these changes… its not even fair/fun to play Druid anymore. I’ve been a ranger main since release, but I’ve swapped over to necro since the last patch and haven’t looked back.

Actually the pet nerfs are the only nerfs that are understandable, i mean SS and BB still outdamage vanilla pets.

Tje nerf on astral seed was totally unnecessary and why they nerfed moonböast is understandable but the douböe nerf was just an oberreaction.

The pet nerf felt like a kneejerk reaction to a bigger issue and just further nerfed any builds not using ‘We Heal as One!’ and ‘Bountiful Hunter’ which many builds currently use to buff player and pet damage (stupid Nature Magic line buffing the pet better than the Beastmastery one).

Even with nerfing those two pets they still haven’t fixed or buffed the vanilla pets to a usable state. I want to use more than 2 pets but they all need to be able to hit reliably to be remotely competitive.

S&R nerf sucked and make it pretty much useless. You can’t teleport your team mate out of a Meteor Storm and 600 range is practically nothing when it comes to WvW. Another useless cry for them to start separating sPvP and the rest of the game for balancing.

Nerfing one of our condition removals at the same time as one of the more powerful condition builds in the game gets a survival buff just seems stupid to me.

There was 0 justification for nerfing two of our pets, with one being yet another slew of nerfs.

Bristleback already had it rough before, but now its even worse off. Even not considering the evasion issue (its long cast time without quickness doesn’t help), we’ve lost a lot of burst potential/pressure because of that change. I dont even understand what they were thinking in nerfing SS’ Bite. I mean seriously, it seems like they just wanted to do -something- to the smokescale to quell the crying in the PVP forums.

Seeds was a dumb as hell nerf too. Condi is EVERYWHERE right now, especially with the rise of Condi Warrior among the still dangerous Condi-Chrono and Necro, and this nerf just makes it mandatory to take Survival just to survive getting bursted once or twice over when you cant access CA (or worse yet, right after you transform to cleanse once). The only Glyph I carry (and dont even trait for anymore) sometimes is our knockback one, since we can’t pressure Bunker Eles off of points with damage alone unless someone +1s. At least somewhere down the line, you can decap if they have no Stability.

I’m not even going to get into SnR or Lunar Impact.
That’s just heartbreaking.

I dont even think I can push passed Ruby as a Ranger only after these nerfs because as shadowpass put it – the best I can do is evade about on point while prodding with staff or occasionally knocking stuff off momentarily till my buckin’ AF bar is charged up to do some healing. Our damage is already laughable, and the amount of reflects and Protection doesn’t help…

Meanwhile, Eles will almost never die unless hard focused by 2+ players, have heals and auras on demand, and still do respectable damage, and Scrappers do extremely similar while still having good damage pressure.

What about us?

Actually the pet nerfs are the only nerfs that are understandable, i mean SS and BB still outdamage vanilla pets.

The reason why new pets outshine vanilla ones is because the original pets are horrifyingly bad. They are so bad that one cannot stand it. It’s that severe of a problem.

Imagine if an elementalist had to stand still for 1,5 seconds immobilized to channel swapping his attunemenets. That would be an absurd and illogical design, just like our pets are. Our core class mechanic doesn’t compensate our lack of personal damage, they can’t hit moving targets, they get shut down by traits that are beneficial to the Ranger (shared anguish, empathic bond… I mean, for the love of god!), they do not scale

Yes, Bristle and Smoke were the only pets that could have been classified as trustworthy pets. But Anet seems like they won’t stop unless they bring them to useless vanilla state of the rest of our pets.

Afzer the nerf they arent as powerful as before, they still do more dmg as vanilla pets, thats because i have to say yes you are right, they should buff vanilla pets.
Porcine need their active skill fixed.
Spider needs a longer poison field and a better active skill (i mean they could do this condi application exactly how the former BB active skill works)
All stats need to get in line and should be balanced, it is totally pointless that a smokescale does better dmg with better survability as a bird with less dmg and less survability. → more survability means less dmg in comparison to more dmg pets, thats how it should work. The discrepance between highest dmg and lowest dmg shouldnt be too high and a pet needs either focus on condition or on raw dmg.

I do not understand why Anet still fiddles arround on class skills when the class mechanic needs improving since launch. And dangit split pvp and pve and give us a reasonable explanation why things got nerfed or buffed.
