Yes, the other Elite Skill most people ignore (along Spirit of Nature)

Some patches ago it was mentionned that Tether skills would apply revealed to tethered targets, and it’s now been months and nothing of such applied to this tethering skill

Not only would it be consistant with what was said about tethering, but it’d also greatly enhance the utility of this skill.

Other possible utility would be linked directly to its theme – Offensively sharing incoming damage or Supportively sharing survivability

What I’d like to suggest would be to

  • Transfer (reduced) instances of incoming conditions to tethered enemies when out of Celestial Avatar Form and
  • Transfer (reduced) instances of incoming boons to tethered allies when in the Celestial Avatar Form.

Right now, despite the low cooldown (which can always be tweaked), it competes with much more useful skills – and I am pretty sure people actually use this elite only to proc Verdant Etching and Grace of the Land and not for the elite’s actual use.

With a coming 2nd expansion, they should re-explore traits/skills that are barely used (thanks for the previous balance patch though!)

Definitely needs a revision. Neither its standard nor celestial versions are strong enough for how difficult the tether mechanic and condition of the skills are to use. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t seen anything by now.

Yeah, as you have said, it’s just Verdant Etching/Celestial Grace fodder currently. Outside some niche farming application, there is no use for this skill at all.

Personally, I would LOVE to see this low CD elite skill be useful. I don’t like the tether condition, it makes this skill very weak.

I’d prefer it be a pulse heal when not in CAF (so as to build AF) and a pulse condi removal when in CAF.

Very nice Idea. I really hoped for some glyphs attention in recent balance patch I praying for almost 2 years now for no cast time on plyphs. they could also make some of the plyphs in CA form to give barrier or something(same with CA 1). I’m afraid glyphs are never going to the “never re-visit basement”,together with spirits and traps.

IE: tie yourself to a group of enemies and whenever you or a tethered enemy is damaged is pulses the damage out in every other enemy.

I mean it’s already a 600 radius, and if you believe the wiki it doesn’t actually break until 900, the radius is perfectly fine, and the avatar state version is great for the AoE healing, the only part of it that’s sorta lackluster is the normal form version, and even then it’s pretty good in some niche situations.

I haven’t tried using it in over a year but I know it did break at less than 900 range. Actually, it could be a bug because if I tethered someone at melee range and they would use a leap skill, the tether would break and most leap skills are less than 900.

Compared to the other elites, it’s just not worth taking except to proc GotL, which is a real shame. When I first saw it I thought it was going to be awesome but reality put me in check.

I mean for only having a 30s CD I think it’s awesome, I use it regularly in pretty much every game mode, although sometimes I swap it out for the spirit since pulsing stab and healing is pretty nice to have.

If they could at least apply the reveal effect, it would enhance this skill greatly – but still feel lackluster.

Even a minor pulsing damage effect/minor pulsing healing effect would make me happy

All ranger elite skills are garbage. Glyph of Unity is no different. At least it’s not a near-instant long-duration Self-Fear like “Corrupt Me Now!”
