Imagine this beast when they actually fix it. When its lightning breath doesnt cancel randomly or when its able to use chomp and tail swipe. Not only a blast finisher but the tooltip at lvl 80 says a little over 1k damage on it, now pet tooltips confuse me but my ravens f2 tooltip only says about 650, and it crits people for up too 14-16k with signet of the hunt. This leads me to believe that tail swipe could be close to that damage if not greater, especially underwater where its tailswipe goes up too 1400 damage instead of 1k. Its fun to think about, and lightning breath actually landing would be amazing, does like 5-6k non crit single target, and Ive gotten about 20k damage when it crits on a ranger because it bounced from him to his pet. This pet has potential to be our best offensive weapon if they can fix it. Thats a big if tho. Has any1 actually seen the damage this skill can do?

I used it in that dredge dungeon, on the shield-gate thingies. I Also use it on siege if they’re close to each other. It just melts anything if it bounces from targets. Also used it on another ranger, ’twas quite amusing.

Yea, I was testing with friend and I would use rampage as 1 and signet of the wild and get 25 stacks of might, pop his f2, and watch it crit for 3k+ each bolt to do well over 20k , he went from 100-0 in seconds.

Definitely one of best pet in-game. Definitely needs better AI too because it has problems like OP said. Ramage as One + Quickening Z + Stacks of Might = Melts everything. It just seems to have crappier toughness/vit than listed. It has same as a fern hound but it seems to always die faster.

It’s a typo. It’s 1.4-1.6k.

But even with the broken attacks, the drake is still a pretty awesome pet. Sadly, I doubt they’ll fix the bugs without nerfing Lightning Breath.

A 600 range, not dodge friendly (since it’d be like dodging unload?) 5→10~k attack (unbuffed) is a bit much.

Pretty sure it was a typo, the Melee range drake breathes deal from 2.8k-3.5k dmg (excluding the condition dmg) and I know they deal A LOT more damage then ranged ones.

sniff sniff I miss my drake from BWE2, with his self heal and aoe nuke that hit for slightly less then his breathe attack…

The drake takes in a deep breathe for like 2 seconds and makes a big swirly animation on their head while charging, if they get behind your drake during that time all that was forfeit, that being said Dante’s combo is te exact combo I use in tPvP to absolutely destroy with, when people ask my friends “What role is your ranger?” They just reply with “Bunker Buster”

The only downside to the River Drake is that the skill can be easy to dodge. But if you use Entangled and quickness, people die very fast! The Jaguar is equally amazing for direct damage.

I think it should be removed on the MELEE ranged drake F2s IE reef, ice, salamander drakes, but river and marsh have a 600 yd 180degree cone effect, they should not e allowed to turn without a damage nerf, and tbh I don’t want that damage nerfed lol…

Then again… The Melee drakes do about double the raw damage of the river drake AND apply a condition, so I guess it’s justified that they only have a 90 degree cone and around half the range…

If you’re running entangle being an Ice/Flame/Reef drake and watch them scream as they try to escape their imminent death, it brings a smile to my face everytime I stun a thief with a GS right as the breathe goes of so they eat the whole thing and just go from alive to dead…
