A whittling ranger becomes viable by forcing his opponent to whittle
•Fixed a bug that caused many piercing, boomerang, and bouncing projectiles (those that hit more than 1 target) to continually increase in damage the more targets they hit.
testing my river drake he no longer 1 shots the light and (occasionaly medium) armored golems. Which he used to be capable of with a single f2. MOAB doesn’t do quite as well now. Still well for ranger damage…
Well, TBH, 1 shotting a whole group of basic mobs was kind of overpowered. Sort of balanced by the fact that Drake breath attacks are inaccurate and take forever, but assuming they will hopefully fix those issues at some point, the damage would have needed to be fixed. And if it was a bug causing the damage to be so high in the first place (I never realized it was any sort of a bug, just thought the damage was naturally that high for some reason) then obviously bugs need to be fixed.
Still sad to see it go, it was an awesome feeling to watch a River Drake decimate entire groups with that. I was just about to change my River Drake’s name to Dheginsea to properly reflect that awesome damage potential. Does it still do respectable damage at least, or is it bad now?
Yeah I had suspected it was bugged as well. Kinda wanted to make sure other people were seeing the change as well.
Mine wasn’t named after one of the most powerful conventional bombs ever for nothing.
It still does very good damage. Combo’d with a barrage overhead you’ll notice no difference in kill time from it.
I barely use this pet. This is the LEAST of my worries of whats wrong with the Ranger profession.
