Berserker Ranger, and I am wondering which set is better?

my friend was telling me that the extra power i get from scholar won’t make a difference in my dps, because my dps mainly comes from critical damage, so i should maximize my critical damage instead.

anyone else agree with this?
or can someone tell me how critical damage works? and how does it relate to power?

Don’t make a zerker Ranger.

Just don’t. It doesn’t work and you will be wasting gear that would be better spent on a warrior or thief.

Too much of our damage is tied up in our pets (that receive no bonus from our gear, thanks devs!) to make the huge fragility worth it.

Yeah pretty much what substance said. Something like 30% of your expected damage is tied to pets, so when you go class cannon, your pets don’t benefit from it, and you end up becoming full glass for only a fraction of the cannon.

Rangers are thought of as an inferior class because so many people have a hard-on for burst damage. Your conditions and sustained damage (dps) are where you will shine. I suggest looking elsewhere.
