Now that But of Corpse (all-Necro) is up and running and Mesmerized (all-Mesmer) podcasts are up and running. sittingonacouch.com is putting it’s full attention into getting the All-Ranger podcast going.

We are proud to announce that Battosai of EU Tournament fame is going to be our co-host along with Kenzou Jin we will be bringing on some of your favorite Ranger guide writers, tournament players, and pve dungeon runners.

Our goal is both to help new and old players see the pluses of the Ranger while also pointing out areas that could use some work. Keep looking over the Next two weeks as your weekly All-Ranger Podcast: Arrow to the Knee will be coming soon.

Don’t give up hope Rangers! We haven’t given up on trying to convince Anet that the Rangers need some more love.

You’re just asking for trouble! On a more serious note, I challenge you to focus your discussion on traits besides wilderness surviva/beastmastery and even give durzilla’s carrion build a test run. It’s pretty effective to load your arrows with conditions from afar. But, yeah, obviously you’re known for wilderness survival / beastmastery. Rock on my man.

There were quite a few pretty humorously questionable name choices that made me laugh, but Arrow to the Knee was the one I felt both hit the Nail on the head for the struggles of the Ranger currently and something every ranger will get.

We will be bringing in a multitude of guests that cover various topics so that the there isn’t just one build discussed. In fact, when I spoke to Battosai and Jin Drake about the podcast it was one of the points they were worried about was that they a majority of what they knew was one line of play.

This is where our guests come in to bring a great perspective on the class.

Ah, I see. I like the name! Have you thought about inviting gasmask or durzilla? They’re quite knowledgeable on the pvp side and given that gasmask abhors a longbow yet durzilla swears by it, you get an interesting conflict of opinion.

Then there’s Valroth who recently posted a solid hybrid beastmaster build on reddit/youtube (great video quality, Valroth).

That’s about all I know in terms of popular players on youtube and/or respectable commentators around these forums, at least on the pvp side of the house.

For all the great rangers fans and players who are looking for more ranger knowledge our official first Recording day is in two weeks, after that we have guest lined up for the next two months. If there is anyone you want to talk to or things you would like to see, please let us know.

I have read your Pet guide before. It’s very handy. When I started the podcast, I lined up the hosts, and then I went off the list of players that people listed as being possible great guests.

We are always looking for more guests and will shoot you a pm.

KensaiZen has some neat ideas about how to use ranger in an army. I think he’d bring some flavor to the show.

We will continue to line them up we are at two months of guests and are still going forward. Thanks for the continuing recommendations.

Except we have a technique called Crippling Arrow, that shoots people someplace so they don’t move as fast. 5 guesses as to where the player is shooting with that move, and the first 4 don’t count. Also, this is GW2, the fact that it’s a Ranger podcast alone will give it all the viewership it needs.

The reference is supposed to be old. It’s a vague reference that the veterans get and find humorous, and is catchy enough the new players will be able to follow it. I appreciate your point, but our credibility will not come in the name, but in the fact that we have a lineup of 10 so far of the most intelligent Rangers in the game.

Plus fans of our other Podcasts, But of Corpse and Mesmerized, know that we strive to bring some of the best quality while adding a bit of subtle humor. The ranger podcast will be different than the other two simply because our hosts are completely different :P.

I have encouraged the hosts to get on the forums and start talking with people. Both have avoided the forums for months as they felt there was too much negativity (a lot rightly deserved). However, we greatly appreciate what Chopps and numerous other rangers have done already to bring an open discussion on the different ways to play the class.
