Sacrifice pet for heals
I’m guessing no in a general sense. The amount of healing isn’t comparable to the dps lose. Killing the target quickly makes healing that much more unnecessary.
in Pve pets get a 95% damage reduction (when not targeted). Actaully sacrificing your pet becomes difficult. If you pet is targeted why wait till it dies to start healing it.
Try to keep it alive will still build AF and maintain what dps you have.
So I don’t think Sacraficing your pet is worth AF generation.
everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth.

People get so hung up on druid healing and CF/AFG that they forget the primary goal of the game. Kill stuff. Maximum offense/minimum defense required to meet that goal.
I was thinking more of a wvw/pvp scenario but okay.
no sense at all , a alive pet is better than a dead one and gaining AF by killing the pet i would not do the time trade off for CA form and the pet death 60seconds is not worth the AF gain.
even if that Pet sacrifice gave you that last 5% needed to enter CA form , you’d only be in CA form for 10-30seconds tops unless you plan on staying in CA form by adding lots of healing power or lots of healing tick sources (you are better off keeping the pet alive and hammering out as many pet buffs as Possible)
Recently switched builds ankitten ow more often playing a build that takes Empathic Bond, Natural Healing, and Signet of the Wild. Smokescale and Bristleback pets. They rarely die. This is in ranked.

What about keeping Empathic Bond and SoW but managing/switching pets so it doesn’t die? Empathic Bond will most likely DoT your pets so you regen AE. My point is Empathic Bond might be making a comeback as it clears condis and recharges AE.
EDIT: Actually forget it. Tried it, its meh. Still figuring out ways to get easy AE regen.
