This skill is actually pretty decent (so much so that the devs plan to nerf it – hopefully in PvP only) but one of the things that always bugs me about it is that when your party is doing well and no-one is downed or defeated, this skill is simply a dead skill on the bar. I hate skills that become useless when you are doing well.
To me, the functionality of this skill is ideal for what a signet should be (similair to Signet of Undeath). Something which has a constant passive effect but a strong active worth a long cooldown. Currently the game punishes you for bringing it if your party is doing well because you give up a utility slot for something you can’t get any use out of.
I would love to see this skill be remade into some kind of signet (or merged into an existing signet) so that situations where your party is doing well, the skill is still giving you some kind of benefit (like boosting you and your pets healing power, or giving the pet an effect similair to the sigil of water).
This is probably the best ranger shout in the game and probably one of the ranger’s better utility skills already (not a lot of strong competition though) so proposing a change to it might not be surprising, but I really dislike skills which are worthless when you do well. It’s not uncommon to go through an entire fractal daily where this skill does absolutely nothing on your bar. It feels like a missed opportunity that this skill is not a signet, it seems like the perfect signet.
