Secondary pet for condi ranger PVE?
Unless you’re raiding, feel free to take what you like. But if you want a more concrete answer, I can recommend:
Lynx, Tiger, Wolf, Bristleback, and even the spiders.
The first four will work for you in most situations.
If you need more CC, try Pink or Black Moa.
Yeah it’s for raiding. Like at cairn, there isnt any reason to bring wyvern. Lynx is default.
atm i guess jungle stalker is pretty good, for might and still have good condi damage. I can swap to it while using heal as one. I just wanna squish more damage LOL, not sure if it’s a good way.
For dps it is usually better to just use one pet, especially in condi builds/with lynx, because condis from the pet stop dealing dmg after swapped out and the pet loses boons. You should only swap if your pet is about to die or if you need something specific from your second pet, like certain boons or cc or whatever.

Wait, pet conditions die on pet swap? Really? Wow.
If that’s the case, then yeah, stick with Lynx.
If that bug wasn’t there; I’d suggest Tiger (if fury is needed), Bristleback, Spiders, or Carrion Devourer. But if you lose the pet conditions on swap, there’s no point in swapping for Poison Master procs.
Uh, Anet bugfix plz?
I use one spider for poisonfield and fernhound for AoE regen for AF.

on a condi build if i’m running druid rather than BM, i go double birds (eagle/hawk). There bleed is on 7s cd and i tend to only swap when they are low. I can get insane amount of bleeding/condis with them on champs and whatnot when soloing.
If i take BM, i go lynx/wyvern. Power is a whole other story, tiger with either wyvern or smokey or something else when i’m bored.
Theres no reason to run druid if you are not a healer. GotL requires you to stop dps and go CA and at that point you might as well just be a healer since you arnt doing dps. A third of your dps is coming from your pet thanks you bleeds on crit from beast mastery along with all those other buffs to its power/crit/ferocity and they extra might you give it on crit.

On druid you can AoE stun, which is good vs breakbars and it triggers AS.
The survivability is greater than of core ranger.
I personally took NM and BM with druid and play a buff/condi combination with s/wh and a/t.
Dmg isnt best but decent and survability is good.

Hi guys. Is there any recommended pet for DPS PVE condi ranger if wyvern is not needed?
It… depends.
Tiger deals a lot of condi damage and provides non stop fury for 5 players around you. Use it when heal druid/rev is not present. Your damage loss will be much lesser than damage increase for the over players.
Pink Moa is an another option for cc on small hitboxes. Useful when cc is critical.
Fern Hound is a good party heal. Very effective under high pressure.
Blue Moa has better heal than fern hound. It has random 3.3k heal and protection on f2. The regen from fern hound is pretty much useless imo.

It contributes to AF and canines have a good knockdown and general better offensive cappabbilities than moa does. The regen it applies also comes in handy even if it isnt that strong.

i take drake for cleave and its survivability even in condi build. so lynx against single mob and drake against many mobs.

Fern hound regen is really good though. It uses the Druid’s healing power, and combines both the pet and Druid’s boon duration leading to 25s regen on a 25s cooldown when you’re at 100% boon duration with Nature magic.
Fern hound traited with Natural Healing and Invigorating Bond is pretty kitten nice as a secondary heal, that also heals allies within range (300/600) for 4030 (iirc) directly plus the regen. Unlike moas, YOU control when to heal.
