Serpent's Strike still doesn't work properly
I almost never have a problem with it. Are you turning your screen the same way as the movement of the attack?

It’s gotten to the point where I only use this skill for the evade. I can’t even hit the test golems with it the majority of the time.

I haven’t tried hitting anyone with it in pvp but I only hit about half of my targets in pvp with it. I find it good to use in conjuction with #2 skill during second strike.
(pvp) only when they’re immob for a good while will I ever try to land it. OR… it’s one of those players that never moves and dodges. Other than that, will use it or evade.
I also struggle to get it to hit reliably.
Range increase is a good idea.

The closer you are when you start the animation, the easier it is to hit it seems. Instead of looping way out wide, you will circle them tightly if you are point blank and it lands most of the time for me like this.
Edit: Although I vastly prefer dagger 4’s animation, the long animation and evade on serpent strike is sooo good when you’re immobilized.

serpents strikes roll distance is effected by movement , so if you are moving with 33% speed while pushing W/forward and then roll with 3 it will roll wide if the target is kiting away from you.
i tend to try to start the serpent roll while moving clockwise so when i roll im closer to the target reducing its wide roll since i’d be rolling into my opponent rather than on the right then rolling further away.
movement kiting clock wise + anti clockwise will have different postional outcomes so it can be used to widen gap or to the left (closer to target or the direction the target is kiting) will roll you closer.
it’ll take some practice but Suzuki got the basics right , its more effective to hit while being closer, though remember closer you are the shorter distance you roll and you might end up in the middle of a well placed Aoe field.
