Shame on you
adapt and overcome mate, tinker with other builds and such… that’s part of the game. If that’s a part you don’t like, rerolling another profession is always an option.
They shouldn’t have to make ranger pets and common weapons useless in order to get us to try other builds.

Hehe, I used to be a heavy nerfed Assassin back in GW1, now I sck with the Ranger here…

They nerfed assassin in GW1? When?
useless?
I as beastmaster noticed a little change after patch with pets.
only thing I noticed really is that when I let my pet soloing some lvl 80 mobs he need a little more time to kill them than before…..

I didn’t notice much of a difference with my build either… with the exception of a little less damage from my pet.
So apart from noticing the effect of the nerf, you didn’t notice anything!

It isn’t significant enough. My pet just does slightly less critical damage. Before, the damage my pet was doing was higher than what I was doing! And that’s totally not right. So, I’m on board with the current set-up.
If your pet was doing more than you, maybe your build was the issue? Also, the combat log doesn’t count how much condition damage you did overall to enemies. Thus, you might have been doing much more than you think.

The assassin was always in a good place in GW1. They had multiple excellent builds and whenever they were nerfed, near identical alternatives were still around. Even at the end of all the nerfs assassins have a knockdown chain which can kill squishy players with very short windows to counter them (and even if you counter part of the chain, you just delay your death). The assassin and the GW2 ranger were/are in very different situations in terms of meta and class balance.
As a short bow build i noticed the nerfs extremely..

The pet nerf is a class nerf, not a build nerf.
a beastmaster can be easily taken out !
only fools will go toe to toe with the pet… just straight up on the ranger and you get a free food
im a beastmaster only people who are smart enough they will ignore my pet and chase me and thats how i got killed …… there isn’t much escape ability for ranger
