Short Bow bleed - how high can it really go?
pretty sure pets gain none of your stats at all and that is one of the reasons they suck so much at max level stuff
so, at base level, firing ~2 times per second at a 3 second bleed, that maxxes out at 6-7 bleeds.
there are a number of ways to increase this. for starters, if u get 34% cond duration, those 3s bleeds become 4s bleeds. if u add a sigil of earth to your bow, u get another on crits. throw in quickness on pet swap / zephyr, and the number seems to max out in the 15-20 range during your best bursts if all are flanking. and with high condition damage at 80, these tick at over 100 per stack

I noticed my pet’s ability tooltips increase/decrease in value when swapping my gear around, both Power and Condition damage. Maybe it isn’t reflected on the stat values, but the tooltip seems to indicate that it is taken into account.
I have a level 80 Human Ranger. With Exotic Rampager’s armor and Chrysocola gems in everything (including jewelry) and 30/20/20/0/0 with Bleed on Crit (Precision line) and Superior Sigil of Earth on Shortbow, I normally get about 101 per tick on a level 80 enemy with about 11-13 stacks of bleeds. If I hit Sharpening Stone and Quickening Zephyr, I can add more stacks up to around 17-20 stacks.
However, if I hit Sharpening Stone, Quickening Zephyr, and Rampage as One with Rare Veggie Pizza (Chef food buff) and Maturing Tuning Crystal (Artificer buff)… well, so far my record has been 154 per tick with 24 stacks of bleeds. I’ve only seen it go that high once against a dungeon boss, so don’t think that’s normal. Everything has to be just right to get that kind of score and it only lasted for about one second. But it was a very nice surprise that I long to see again.

It is a bug, easiest way to test this is with shortbow 4 (pet bleeds for next few attacks) will not line up with what the tooltip displays for the bleed damage. You will also notice this bug when someone else links an ability to you it will display what that skill would do if the stats of your character were used not the one who linked it. I don’t believe that this will be fixed as they will have to modify the way every single person’s tooltip damage is done and most classes have errors still in the tooltips themselves.
