people believed there was a nerf not because they are gullible lemmings, but because bad balancing and bugs are so prevalent and common in GW2.

I noticed this after the patch too and I thought to myself “meh this is a typical unnecessary nerf” still didn’t tick me off as much as the barrage nerf.
Needless to say the sb is now in my bank and now using the axe/warhorn instead.
Easy way to test, do a damage calculation with steady weapons in the mists and work out if the co-efficient for shortbow 1 is the same as is listed on the wiki.
Just did it, co-eff still comes out to 0.4 which is what’s listed on the wiki. No damage nerf.
It’s funny that no one does testing on their own to see if this is true or not.
Not enough people using shortbow post range nerf to genuinely care maybe.
You clearly have never stepped foot into a sPvP match, trying to find a ranger not using a shortbow in there is like trying to find Waldo in a textbook.

This is why no one, especially the devs, can take the ranger forum seriously. There’s the objective answer for that.
If you want to have open honest dialogue, step one is to stop BSing and PMSing over everything you think is wrong and articulate that in a manner that isn’t hysterical hyperbole.

Honestly, this has been here since the start of this forum. If past events are anything to go by, this’ll make those posters rethink their stance for maybe a week, then it’s back to thinking rangers are perpetual victims in ANet’s grand evil scheme to make rangers look horribly underpowered.
