I noticed fighting Liadri that Shortbow 3 jumps me backward FROM THE DIRECTION THE CAMERA IS FACE!
I’m really tired of not jumping away from my target. Why does “fire a quick shot in evasive retreat” (Shortbow 3 description) not send the ranger in the direction that makes most sense?
Would that be too much of a buff or something?

the skill is MEANT TO EVADE DAMAGE. you do so BY MOVING AWAY FROM THE DAMAGE.

It is working as intended, it is not bugged (like a few people claim), and it is absolutely not in need of any changes anytime soon.

Yes it’s a glitch that came about after the most recent patch I think. Thief’s shortbow #3 is also bugged in the same way.

if you are referring to the “moving forward instead of backwards” bug some people claim to have.

I do not have it, however i get a weird sliding at the end of the jump animation.

I recommend reinstalling GW2 as it may be a problem caused by local programs interacting with GW2.exe in a not so positive manner.

As I understand it, the sliding animation is an intentional nerf. The animation itself is glitched so that when you shoot backwards your charcacter jumps forward, away from the target, then slides backwards toward the target. As far as re installing GW2 goes I would. instead, recommend deleting System32 as it takes up a lot of hard drive space and has been known to cause issues in the past.

deleting System32 will not have an effect on the current Windows version as it is too broken to be repaired with such and easy fix.
I highly recommend flashing the bios, removing post then setting fire to your house before cutting the main power supply for your house with a pair of gardening cutters.
