Pretty much what the topic name says.

Rangers’ Longbow skill 1, “Long Range Shot”.
Should it have 100% projectile finisher?

In thinking about other classes providing combo field, but would be mainly Elementalist Staff skill “Lava Font” since it has near same recharge and duration.

For some who don’t know, Ranger Longbow skill 1 “Long Range Shot” has 20% projectile finisher right now.

I’m a casual PvE adventurer, I enjoy combat, adventure and helping, but not farming.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.

And what would it fix for Longbow? Nothing.
For group aspect, you already proc enough projectile combos.
For your own uses, it’d change almost nothing. We have a burning projectile but in order to make it, you have to activate Flame Trap.

I’m with Rym, I just don’t see it fixing enough. It would only be handy if we had real, direct control over our combo fields, but the traps must be activated and pets need a target. Only bonfire will really work, but without a fast hands trait, that’s not a real option imo.

So while they could do this, I don’t see it having any real impact unless the Ranger was given unique blast finishers to give the class some much needed group utility.

how about tacking it onto that semi-useless GM trait, we will be getting?

The only crime, turrets committed, is being good against the celestial meta.
The mob has spoken and the turrets shall be burnt at the stake.

it would be too strong. Imagine how easily we could stack regeneration on full zerker (strong regen at that) by just dumping HS and stand there going “pew pew pew”.

Not to mention we got a plethora of medium-long duration fields on our hands that would make our power builds too strong, overall.

FYI; Fire combo from field fields does about 340/tick for 3 seconds with 130 condition damage (celestial gear)… the ability to dump a flame trap/torch 5 on our feet and stack long duration burning would be nothing short of OP on a power spec.

It may not seem like OP, but our range + 100% combo chance + access to fields would make it so.

Well, the “pew pew pew” is more like “pew….. pew….. pew…..”.

If it wasn’t for the range of long range shot, I think I might agree with making it a guaranteed projectile finisher, even though that’s unconventional for auto attacks.

I think adding it to the read the wind trait would be a cool idea though.

it would certainly be more balanced if it was added to the trait rather then directly added.

Like warriors with their Bow related traits? Dunno if they’re gonna be fixed in the upcoming Feature update, since “Stronger bowstrings” trait changed all of the warrior longbow skills, and gave them 100% Projectile finisher Dual Shot and Fan of Fire.

I put the idea here, since I want to see others opinions.
