Sic 'em, will you use it?
The Damage increase is pretty crap, Because most of the time it ends up wasted with your pet not doing anything remotely useful.
If the Reveal is 4 Seconds only, I simply won’t use it.

If the reveal is 10 secs (sic ‘em duration), I’ll swap to it every time i see a thief.
If it’s 3-4 secs then not sure.
Maybe if they fix the bug on it disappearing when you re-order your pet.
It seems so situational being only partially useful for 1 build and even then only being picked fighting 2-3 specific classes.
I primarily just throw up the Longbow’s Rapid FIre when theives get low, since it tracks through stealth anyways.
If i don’t stop playing ranger, then yes i will be using it once it gets the reveal, atm it’s just a little bit lacking, the reveal will make it great!

Have to wait and see how it will function.
I’m hoping it will be a short duration aoe centered around the pet that puts on 4 or more seconds of reveal. If it’s tied to the pet actually hitting the thief, then I think there are far too many ways to mess it up, making it an extremely risky utility to slot as it could be easily countered and wasted by the ranger.

I wouldn’t use it if it functions like the two ways you mentioned. I think it will be like:
- Once you hit sic ‘em, pet gets buffs, and the thief imediatelly gets 3-4 seconds of ’revealed’.
Although the skill will become a really good stealth-class counter, if the revealed lasts as long as sic ’em skill (10 secs.)
Situational use only. Like today, 4-5 thieves were keeping folks from getting into Bay from the back side (our spawn side). We had 10-11 trying to fight them off to allow folks to get in and defend. Would have been real handy.

While I appreciate Anet buffing shouts, I really don’t think Rangers ever needed a destealth mechanic. We already do a fine job taking thieves / mesmers on. So no, Sic’ Em will likely never take a slot in my bar until the other shouts become more useful for group-play.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: It’s a very, very situational skill, and I’d prefer just to take another generic defensive utility like another stun breaker, which I know will help me in more situations. Besides that, thieves don’t give me any problems personally, so I’m not going to overkill on countering something I don’t currently have a problem with.

I will never use sick’ em. There are way more important utilities to use..
Arenanet simply fails as Always…They don t play the class so they don’ t know what ranger NEEEDS.
Arenanet you re going to loose tons of rangers..You deserve it.
when i see a thief at the horizon i’ll swap 1 utility for it. in “normal” situations i will not.

I think it could be quite powerful if you time it right. A lot of thieves get off a stealth or shadow refuge at about 30% or so health and regen, coming back at you with full health.
Sick-em is an instant cast so it should be possible to use it almost as a form of anti-stealth cc, and give you enough time to burst them down. If you can also cripple the thief it could give your pet a chance to hit as well. The reveal almost seems more powerful than the original effect.
I think it will have a place in a BM and or BM regen build for sure.
I already do and have done so for a long time. I’ll most likely continue to do so after the next patch…
