Guild Wars 2

I stopped playing the game after the “40ms” nerf but I still check the forums daily hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel so I could restart again. This last patch was a huge letdown. May have to force myself to stop looking at these boards. Was wondering how many others are like myself and quit the game already but read these forums hoping for a Ranger fix?

I stopped playing awhile ago. Ranger is the only class i wanted to play. I am still checking the forums for a real update to the class. Gonna give them until next week if they still wont fix some of the main problems with this class i will delete game and report to all my friends that haven’t started playing yet to forget this game and ‘anets’ future game.

I quit after last non patch. I havent logged in. Ill check once in a while but for now Ill play Rift. I dont play any other class.

Rift does have an amazing archer class. Marksman is legit. Swtor just went free to play so I might play that for a bit. I wont quit persay but I might not be on nearly as much.

Seriously, this patch is truly a disappointment, same with the event. But I am still crossing my finger for the next update.

I will still play. Ranger is… was supposed to be my favorite but I also wanna try out other classes as well. This game doesn’t have monthly subscription so no loss to them wherever I keep playing or not.

But I simply won’t recommend it to any friends anymore, or even warn them before they are gonna buy it. Don’t want them to experience the same frustration. And that’s the only thing that matters to ANet – number of new players.

I quit. If they fix the class, maybe. Until then I have lost all faith in Arena net.

Same boat. After the blunder of communications during the 40ms I started playing the game less and less and switched classes…but I missed playing my ranger. Then after the lack of ranger changes in the previous patch and second communication blunder during this one, I have stopped playing. (not to mention the insane frustration of not being able to reach 100% map completion due to a plethora of bugs).

My deadline is until the end of the month (not even trying this Lost Shores event – which is appearing to be another bug fest), if they don’t deliver anything worthwhile I’ll just uninstall and forget about gw2 and ANET and it’s failure of communication policy.

CENSOR, I don’t see the point you’re trying to make. Anet has yet to show they read our concerns, so the idea that this thread will get rangers a fix is moot. Players know they don’t get any leverage coming here – what do you think they’re trying to accomplish? Because in my experience, venting DOES work. It makes the venter feel better. It has made me want to quit. I am still playing at the moment though. But i cant bring myself to play for long these days. This is the first game that actualy depresses me when i play it. If things dont look up soon i will be looking once again for a good game.
GW2 has been nothing but a dissapointment since my ranger hit 80.

On a good note though i enjoyed leveling

Ranger is still worth while to play for any real player. Our day wil come people. Lets suck it up. I may not be able to solo every thief but let me tell you it’s not a hard feet to stay alive and kite away from them. We need some community rangers to take hold of all these negative posts.

what part of the ranger class is really broken? longbow is a little slow but short bow is super fast. What is really broken about the class that would make you quit the game over it?

Well the pet being buggy as hell for me basicly is what makes my head hurt.

I logged in yesterday cos a friend of mine asked me did a few scs with my mesmer then logged off. It’s not like “i quit in protest against anet” i simply don’t find the game worth playing anymore. It’s a bit sad actually yes, mostly cos i wasted money on this game but there are lots of other games around.
Maybe what i expected from the ranger does not coincide with what the devs want, meh. I like my mesmer and i had lots of fun playing it, it’s just not really the class i want to play. That’s probably why my max lvl char is only 31 and i only play spvp. There are lots of bad designed things in this game tbh.
Do you wanna play a sniper-like char? Oh sry you are forced to play a heavy armored warrior lol cos the devs gave the engi a shotgun…
Do you like playing your thief as p/p? Fine but you will see that build is quite bad compared to other builds…apparently devs don’t care…
Do you like the idea behind the ranger class but you prefer not to have a bugged pet at your side all the time? Sucks for you, the devs want the ranger to be THE pet class in gw2…lol tbh i don’t even know WHAT the devs want the ranger to be ahah.
Lack of communication is really irritating btw.

I run glass cannon and the damage with SB only it’s not so bad. It’s just that nothing else about my ranger is good. I get hit like a tank and my pet can’t hit a thing. Really.

Well, if you guys are just forum lurking for updates, then you might as well not come back to the forum for a couple months.

TBH, I’m pretty thoroughly convinced that Anet pretty much has all their resources focused on new little events, upcoming expansions, etc., and pretty much no one working on class issues and fixing broken things.

I guess it’s a whole lot easier and more effective to let the players see you releasing new content than it is to go around fixing everything. I feel bad for the skeleton crew who is supposed to solve all those issues.

They actually remind me alot of Blizzard, to some degree. They seem very, very slow to get things done. Like how it took them close to two months to fix broken skillpoints, etc.

It’s mind-blowing how we have to download a 50+ MB patch nearly every night, yet hardly anything is coming from them… so much patching data for so little ^^

All that said, I haven’t quit, and I still enjoy playing ranger in WvW and stuff, despite its problems. But, I’m a realist, and I knew their patch would be way less than people were believing.
