Signet Ranger
have you considered clarion bond for more fury uptime, or to allow you to drop warhorn all together for axe?
I’ve run a similar build but I swapped the WS line for skirmishing to get the guaranteed opening strike on weapon swap and to make use of quickdraw for double mauls/path of scars.
I also tend to swap back and forth between zephyr’s speend and BW. The quickness comes in really handy and makes the swords auto a monster.
I do the same with Zephyr’s Speed, it really helps securing stomps if you pet swap. So far I haven’t tried dropping WS in any of my pvp setups but i’ll give it a shot, in your experience is SoR + the shouts going to be enough condi cleans?
I swap between WH, Axe and LB when i’m feeling ranger-y lol
It’s usually still enough with longbow, without it you might consider throwing on a sigil of generosity or purity.
i run something similar:
full signets. HaO, Rampage
cele ammy
lyssa runes
LB / s+d
2 full condi clears (lyssa, SoR) and empathic bond is enough to win against necros, most mesmers, condi thieves, and just about any power based player in the game. I eat dd ele and signet necros for breakfast.
It is not enough to win against really good mesmers, good engies, or trap rangers (and thats with more health than you from cele ammy). You simply need access to lots of on-demand condi removal for those classes. At least, that is my experience with celestial ammy and crusader ammy.
it is all around okay, and can half-bunker home, support the team fight or decap far, but as an all-arounder it excels at nothing. you will get the same, if not more damage out of celestial ammy, along with more health to compensate the lost toughness. toughness shouldn’t be too much of an issue with SoS though.
side notes:
personally, i find MM to be worthless unless you are going for a burst spec. Your signets are still only going to be up once per fight with the cooldown reduction, and remorseless is only a big deal if you have the damage to back it up (you dont with a mid-range amulet).
if you are going to pick taunt over zephyr’s speed, you would benefit from a pet with a 15sec (or faster) f2. While taunt is great for interrupting enemy stomps and landing clutch mauls, quickness on petswap means nearly insta wolf fears and very fast mauls as well in addition to quick stomps, and paired with clarion bond could get you a bunch more remorseless procs with that petswap, right when you are mauling.
