Signet of Renewal transfers all our condis to our pet (if our pet is alive, this is logical).

Sometimes this skill just doesn’t work.
Turns out there is a range your pet can be for this skill to work: There is no range indicator.

Which brings up a HUGE problem for a game that is trying to cater to casuals. Let’s say I am a casual and I just tried to condi clear myself in PvP but it doesn’t work and I have NO IDEA why because there is no range indicator. I would assume the skill is bugged.

Not only that, but even if there is a ranged indicator on the skill, why would it not be 1200 or 1500, the limit of our leash range? Why would there be a range on the signet if our pet can no longer leash out to like 5000 units like it used to? WHY!?!?

Moreover, if we trait this skill with Signet of the Beastmaster IT GAINS NOTHING. A grandmaster that does nothing for a skill.

Therefore something needs to change. Either there should be a range indicator on the skill and there should no longer be a range when traited with signet of the beastmaster or there should just be no range limit.

GRANTED: I understand why there is a range on it because your pet would always just full clear your entire team! BUT! Why can’t their be a radius around the pet for a team condi clear and have it ALWAYS clear the ranger?

It’s sickening playing in PvP with a class that has RNG condi clear and the only condi clear that sometimes JUST DOESN’T WORK!

Anet just recently announced the Living World Journal. That was a very popular suggestion since the living world began, and was mentioned many times way back in CDI’s from last November. 8 months later, and its being implemented.

Go on and moan about the Ranger CDI all you want. Its been like 3 months since the end of that thread.

If they do make any changes, it’s logical to add whatever the current PBAoE circumference is around the pet to the Ranger when traited.

Totally agreeing on this. In PVP it really sucks to see your condi clear on a 60s CD go to waste because your pet was abit too far. They could at least put the condi clear on the ranger no matter what range the pet is. I mean come on it’s not gonna make rangers overpowered, lol.

For CDI, we gonna have to wait for months and months before they do anything about it!

I have got used to only popping it right after a pet swap because of this. A range indicator would make me very happy.

Swapping right after a pet swap is one of the worst scenarios possible. It means your pet is VERY likely to die, it means their necro can just epidemic your pet. Very risky to do that, yet when there is no range indicator the skills sometimes a sadly necessary risk to counter poor design.

Funny thing is, making it have 1200 range is probably just changing a variable from ‘450’ to ‘1200’ and it’s done.

Another thing that could be done is make the pet run back to you at AT LEAST normal speed when you hit f3. Died way too many times screaming, watching my pet meander its way back to my literally bleeding person. In this case, only a slight range buff would be needed, say.. 300 more units on top of whatever it is at the moment?
