Signet of Stone/Wild
Stone is 35 toughness for you, 120 toughness for your pet.
Signet of the Wild is kind of crappy for you, only 62 base health per second. For your pet it’s much better, 125 per second. Plus any bonus from healing power.
Personally, I use it for beastmastery builds for pet survivability. The regen on it isn’t great and really isn’t going to make a huge different for the most part. It can negate some condition damage from bleeds, poisons, and so on, but I wouldn’t call it a life saver. The bonus 25% damage from activating it isn’t really worth it, thanks to the long cool down.

the signet passives are rarely good enough by themselves, consider the active effect as well.
im no expert, but i dont believe the regen is enough to use the signet by itsself.
I tend to think it depends on what your build is and what it’s for.
I agree with nldixon, it seems more geared for keeping up your Pet as opposed to keeping up yourself.
Not only is the base heal better for your Pet, your +healing scales the benefit for your pet alot more too. Just for a solid point of reference; at 640 Healing I get 96 a tick and my pet gets 276.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think I’ll stick with protect me as I get good use of that already.
In dungeons signet of the wild becomes a lot more powerful. The health regen can mean the difference between sustaining through the entire fight and being defeated. The longer the fight goes for (many boss fights last a very long time) the more important healing becomes. Regaining health you’ve lost is invaluable in dungeons, many classes will forgo DPS food buffs for the health regen from Mango Pies, while this signet regains more health.
Besides, what other utility skills are you going to bring to the average boss fight? It’s not going to keep your pet up – when they go down its because they were inevitably hit by a one shot, but it could keep you up.
Did you guys consider the Marksman trait? Signets actives also affect you, which means 0 damage for 6 seconds (Stone but doesn’t protect you from conditions but doesn’t need a live pet) and the other gives stability with damage (Wild which is basically like Rampage as One). I’ve used protect me for a while but I changed it due to the benefits. Only reason I’d pass it up is if there’s another trait skill/line to get.
Even with Signet of the Beastmaster you have a 120 second cool down on Hunt (96 if you take Signet Mastery) which means that for a few seconds every two minutes you have 25% extra damage, during which time you lose the benefits of the Signet. Not really worth it, in my opinion.
SIgnets arent worth it atm, but we almost need stone to avoid burst, but Im not gonna trait for my panic button anymore, its stupid and wastes my trait slow which I use for piercing arrows now, much needed I might add.
Signets are absolutely worth it for certain builds. Just some more so than others.
Well dont get me wrong, I popped RaO and sig of wild and blew people up for 12 secs, and then would use sig of stone for survivability, but then when its off Im extremely weak and vulnerable. Id rather use traps, signets cd i stupid long and i shouldnt have to trait to have them affect both of us.

I would never activate Signet of the Wild, to be honest. The CD is way too long for a few seconds of extra damage. Stone is great if you trait for it, but again… Very long CD during which you’re not benefiting from the passive effect. Renewal and Hunt are both fantastic signets. Renewal is really good passive or active. Hunt is good active, but the passive is kind of blah.
Yea I would use hunt, I actually like it alot with bird pets but honestly, we need protect me to act like a kitten panic button. Yea I dont use wild or stone anymore, I use traps. I wanted to feel more rangerish.
