Hey i’ve been running SoS with 30 M trait so active effects affect me, and i notice in some situations, conditions are still applied to me after activating (not pre-existing conditions) and not just from traps, from all sources – is this a bug or working as intended??

Not sure. According to the wiki invulnerability means that conditions on you still damage you but new conditions won’t be applied during your invuln. However, this is not the case and conditions still damage and can still be applied to you. It might be a bug if its from all sources but I think traps go through even mist form and elixir s so that might be intended.

i’ll have to do some testing on this i think, not sure if it actually says it causes invulnerability anywhere on the skill though.

I’m pretty sure it’s just “Take no damage from attacks.” When people hit you, it shows as “-0” as opposed to the “Invulnerable” text that comes up when someone has invulnerability.

I’ve also noticed conditions still being applied. Sadly, I think this is working as intended. One of the reasons I stopped using signet of stone as half the time I used it, I still died anyways from conditions.

i think this must be an oversight – a 6sec invulnerability which requires a utility slot, is on 120 sec cooldown, requires 30 point investment in a tree and it still leaves you vulnerable to conditions???

Contrast that with an ele weapon skill whcih gives 5 secs of true invulnerability with only 50sec cooldown?

Seems right to me. Also, vulnerability does not affect fall damage. I’ve tried popping the Signet and jumping off cliff to escape a zerg and still died.

According to the Wiki, Invulnerability prevents the application of conditions as well as damage but WILL NOT wipe conditions you already have on you. Perhaps that’s the real issue here and this is all just a misunderstanding?

It’s because Signet of Stone doesn’t give the invulnerability status. It just reduces the damage from physical attacks to 0. Conditions still work normally. When people attack you, their damage pops up as 0, instead of it saying “Invulnerable”
