Q:
Signet of the Wild, When To Use?
A:
i run a 0/0/30/10/30 build with shaman’s in tpvp. healing power 944. with SoW, compassion training and Natural Healing, your pet will heal for about 480HPS. you will regen at 119/s from the signet and roughly 60/s from Natural Healing. so assuming you go 30 into BM, you’ll be regening at ~180hps. over a 20 second engagement, thats an extra 3600 health. with 2100 toughness, thats a lot of mitigated damage.
SoW is only worth it if stacked with other healing effects on a vigor/regen bunker build. the beautiful part is when SoW, Natural Healing, regen, and Spirit of Nature all tick at the same time. it adds up to about 900HPS.
so on a bunker, you might as well equip the signet. anything else, not worth it.
there are no “Hard caps”, or “caps” at all in gw2 for stats, so its up to you when you consider the healing amount “worth it”.
SotW heals you for 62 + 6% of your total heal or 125 + 25% of your total heal on your Pet.
You could have found that out with a simple Google search

I’ve come across many posts giving subjective answers in line with ‘you need more’ healing for SotW to be worth it -comparative advantages sort of thing- but I never came across a single post that was more objective.
What exactly do you mean by ‘worth it’?
I could ramble on a bit about SoW and Healing Power in dungeon play, but it’s all prettymuch a subjective account of my experiences.
If you have Natural Healing (BM 30) and use SoW they stack, or is SoW used with builds that stack +healing say 7xx – 9xx?
For trickle damage I think we all agree it is a great utility, what about PvP?
No idea about PvP, sorry.
I can tell you Natural Healing and Signet of the Wild do indeed stack.
Any with PvP experience can comment on how good this signet is alone or when combined with natural healing? Do actually feel it? In PvE I can see and feel it.

Was it really necessary to call the guy lazy? This forum is for asking these sorts of questions.
It works out really well if you are focusing on a BM build. If you’re looming close to 900+ healing, you will want to combine this signet with Troll Ungent.
Together you and your pet will be able to take a bit of burst and survive in WvW.
