It’s just so good… It does great damage, not the same as felines but not far off. It has great utility with the Smoke Field and it has an amazing attack pattern. Often times it will start with Smoke Assault followed by Takedown. Smoke Assault hits serveral times, granting might to the pet every time it hits a foe. It is also a channeled attack much like Rapid Fire and I’ve seen it go as high as 20k (yup, 20k from the pet alone) just in those 7 hits. It then follows this attack (again often times, not always) with Takedown, which is a standard knockdown attack. So if whomever it’s attacking (this is speaking from a WvW/PvP perspective) tries to heal after the pet lays in to them, they’re probably going to have their heal interrupted with the Takedown as well, lol.
It’s pretty much a Wolf and Jaguar in the same pet but with better combo attacks… What more could we ask for.

I kind of wish they’d have gotten it and then powered up the other pets to compete and keep the Smokescale as an introduction to a new standard.
But noo-ooo.
Not sure I Iike the F2 change as well. Being able to decide when I wanted it (and me, if I was meleeing next to it) would get extra tanky for a bit was nice.
The damage nerf was needed. But I don’t like the F2 switch
I like it because now I can set up a nice burst combo, but i’ll miss the on demand blind and stealth. I wish they would make it so we have access to both of our pets utility skills.
I get the damage nerf. It was really quite OP (Although 50% might be a bit much). But I don’t know if I like the f2 change, a on demand smoke field was really nice… Now its 7 might stacks if you use WHaO… And a bit of damage… I guess we’ll have to wait and see for a while. Also, where the hell can i get a tiger?!?
Really though it was a bit broken. I saw mine do 20k to someone with sick’em in spvp.
