Sniper Ranger Question
The amount of reflects right now will make your dual bow obsolete.
Also, why would you mix an power setup with a condition one?
You’ll end up with not enough condition pressure and not enough direct damage.
People learned how to use reflects, huh? Oh well…
I’m not mixing power setups. Longbow is my primary killing weapon. I only took shortbow because melee weapons are lame choice for Sniper and ranged Axes rely on condition damage. So I used it only to escape from close combat situations – Swift on weapon swap and cripple from Shortbow helps when Hunter’s Shot fails!
I was all ’bout Direct Damage in this build, trust me. It rekt people. Such shame that is no longer the case coz of reflects!
What are my alternatives in post-HoT meta if I wanna play a Core Sniper-type? Rifle Warrior, I guess?
Changing your profession isn’t going to make the reflects go away.
I think you can still get by. Try it out and see…
I run LB/GS all the time in pvp, you just need to know when not to go pew pew crazy
Alrighty then! Thx for encouragement!
Just wanted to know if my ol’ Longbow Ranger can still pose a threat in PvP, considering the so-called OP-ness of all these new HoT classes, and current ‘Bunker’ meta!
Will keep an eye on those nasty reflects!

Thing is not they learnt, it’s about the new elites bring a lot of new sources of reflects.
Something I see works fine in power setup is druid with staff / lb
The LB will be your main killing machine gun, but you have the staff to keep some very low Dps while the reflect/block is up. Plus the extra mobility to get in 1200 range.
You are right about the melee weapons are lame, all have too many drawbacks to be really rewarding.
