So, I have always thought that Signet of Renewal when traited with Signet of the Beastmaster pulled conditions in a radius around myself as well as my pet and transfered it to my pet. I have recently discovered even when traited one must be in range of the pet… So then, does traiting Signet of Renewal do nothing?

I find SoR to be inconsistent with SoB traited. For me, SoR works better when SoB is actually not traited One of the few gimmicks rangers have to work around with.

I personally have never noticed any change in the traited version of SoR. The situation you described in the question makes sense, but I’ve never actually seen any significant difference.

I think that when it’s traited you will also pull conditions off people in range that will then just disappear but it doesn’t factor yourself into those (likely max of 5) people much the same way the signet won’t purge conditions on your pet when you use it.
