Solo'ing Arah P2 as Ranger - Lupi Tips?
are you running a condi or power build? I’d probably run a sinister condi build with a/a+a/t quickdraw. you’ll get to quickdraw your reflects and bonfire and you won’t have the drawback of being locked in sword aa.

Currently power – I’ve got some ascended sinister trinkets lying about, but I’d be reluctant about dumping a bunch of money on new weapons/armor for a single boss. How well would axe deal with the locust swarms?
If you search youtube you’ll find a video of some dude soloing lupi a few years ago on an axe build. It takes him like 20 minutes, so I’m not sure that’s the best idea, despite the big power creep. I think Brazil has a more recent video of him soloing lupi on a condi ranger??
I recommend s/d and GS. Use the GS for the block and maul and use the s/d for damage and the dagger evade. You can use 2 and 3 but getting the timing might be annoying unless you have a friend there to rez you as you practice (as you should or learning will take for-kitten-ever.)
IIRC there are a few videos on YT of rangers soloing P2, but I haven’t checked in many months. I know for a fact Brazil has some ranger videos using s/d, although I don’t think they are solo. I think Turtle Dragon who sometimes posts here may have put up a few videos of his guild soloing P2 on ranger. Edit: Now that I think about it, I think they used s/d and s/a to reflect lupi, on the old 64400 build.

Slow and steady approach. Try this out and tweak to your liking once you start becoming comfortable.
Gear stats left blank for preference. You can go Sinister or Berserker, but again, your call. I’d also note to save Quickdraw on axe 5 or gs 4 as you’ll want to access reflections and blocks as much as possible when starting out. Cancel axe 5 just before it ends to get the QD bonus.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
sinister and zerk are about equal in terms of dps, HoT might bring something different but it seems like condition damaging is moving up in the world. Plus if you apply burns/bleeds/etc they’ll keep ticking while your dodging or running away from locusts. you won’t have the built in evades from sword but the axe bounce will keep damage up on the locusts and still hit Lupi.
you could go with gs on swap for a more defensive weapon instead of a/t but burn damage is so op right now it’s hard to stay away.
Appreciate resources everyone posted. I’ve tried learning this recently as well and am also stuck on Lupi, mainly phase 2 and beyond. I can clear phase 1 rather easily but even with full ascended zerker gear clearing the locust takes more time than he can spawn them at the end of phase 1.
I think this has been my biggest limfac because when he runs his AOE in phase 2 any remaining locust will burst you down quick if rooted on axe 5 or force you out of block on GS4. I’ll take a look at the above though.
