Just wondering, because lots of people say Rangers don’t bring much to the table when it comes to group support. Spirit build seems good for group support though, but I see no one running it or on metabattle. Is there something I’m missing about the build and why little to no rangers run it in PvE?

Spirit Ranger PvE viable?
Frost spirit is the meta. The other spirits are mostly useless in PvE. On very rare occasions you can find a use for them, depending on group comp and dungeon content. For example if you had like 4 thieves with you in CoF path two, you might use stone spirit at the assassins.
Actually, I found it strangely viable in higher Fractals.
… Frost Spirit + Earth Spirit.
And I occasionally run Spirit of Nature at places that I know are hard to be survived.
Apart from that – nothing but Frost Spirit is worth.
PvE meta is Zerging – which means – anything that is dead deals no damage anyways.

I use frost spirit a lot and have traited it to follow me.
I know it isn’t the most efficient use, but find it easier to kill in rapid sequence with it following me. Most trash mobs die so fats that I don’t spend time on summoning it, but veteran and elite mobs take more than single Rapid Fire to kill, so there it’s useful.
Spirit of nature is nice combat rez that can be useful in fractals when pugging. But other than the usual 15 points for frost spirit and emphatic bond, nope spirit spec is not viable.
