it’s funny, spirit ranger’s pet has swiftness, protection, and burning every 10 seconds. And obviously the player is stronger with spirits too.
no reason to go BM, spirits makes both the player and the pet better.

As a fellow Ranger who doesn’t run a Spirit build in tourny’s, I can say that yes they are stronger than most builds, but the build I use completely decimates them. This build doesn’t offer the same support or as much support to my team as a Spirit build does, but that’s okay if my team wins.

Beastmaster has more potential in 1v1. After the nerf, spirit ranger lost some of its strength in 1v1 but its still the best build for team support because of the elite spirit.

You’ll find that a Spirit Ranger’s Pet will die substantially quicker then a BM Bunker Rangers Pet, you’ll also find that you can’t swap it fast enough before it dies either.

This is how a BM Bunker Kills those type of rangers, you kill their pet, and then they have no condition removal.

Nobody thinks of hybrid BM AND spirits?

I have been trying to use spirits since release, its effective, but i found myself to be better in surviving and dealing damage with a BM build instead of Spirit build.

Also when duelling 1v1/1v2/1v3, i found that playing with BM to be better in surviving and oulasting your opponents.

Have encountered a few Spirit builds and duelled them in 1v1’s but i allways melted them. The stronger pet really makes the difference then.

This is all based on my roaming experience from WvW, my experience however does not need to be yours aswell Keep that in mind.

Gah! I know what build you are thinking of posting. I think you should post a variant of that build…or maybe a template to point people in the right direction. It took me a long time to find my build(which is close to yours). That’s too good of a build to release imo…

It’s very simple and already stated above, I’ll just cut the cord here.

1v1: BM Build is superior
5v5 (group fights): Spirits are superior

sPvP and tPvP = 5v5 so Spirits is the way to go.
