Spirit of Nature
Both are 600 by default, the shortest range on all spirits, however when trained in Natures Vengeance it gets bumped up to at least 900 maybe 1k units.
The limit of revived allies is 5 and the limit of cleansed allies is 5 so you could hit 10 people total with it assuming no downed players have any condis on them, otherwise it’ll Rez them and cleanse the condis.
It seems like a fairly smart AI, it’ll Rez the lowest health downed allies first and purge people with most Condis on them, and I haven’t tested the max on the passive, but I know in WvW my screen is a sea of dancing green numbers.

Ok, thank you. I guess it would be strategically better to use it when players are downed rather than setting it up prematurely in a dungeon, like with the other spirits.

It is, I rarely use spirit of nature because I like having it up for when kitten hits the fan xD, it’s a REALLY powerful elite when used well!
PS: by rarely use I mean actually summon it, he’s almost always on my bar.

I’ve been using Search and rescue, but it fails about 70% of the time if not more, so using Spirit of nature would probably be much more better even with that long CD.
I have grandmaster nature magic use spirits unbound to have spirit walk with me. Like Durzilla, I do not summon it all the time, but during big fights and when there are downed people, I pop it up, walk in, hit its rez power on the run and dodge away. This is very handy to do especially if there are huge groups of downed npc in an area with an event that you could not complete without npc help.
I switch up to a spirit build for meta-events in pve and walk around with my spirit buffs. I also have nature’s vengeance so spirits set off their skill on death.
One reason I like a spirit build with spirit movement is for underwater combat. Nothing like swimming with a couple of nice dolphin buffers and a big whale.

lol this is slightly off topic but one of my favorite builds uses Spirits Unbound and Nature’s Vengeance for suicide bomber spirits xD, nothing pisses off people more than running in with a frost, stone, and sun spirit and getting them to all cast their skills and then die (which casts the skill again) right ontop of the poor guy… immob + chill + cripple + blind pulses.

Search and Rescue (when it works) works on dead player. Spirit of Nature only revives downed players.
Conceptually they are very similar, but their actual uses are very different. SoN is more for those “oh @!#%” moments when a bosses’ PBAOE downs everyone in melee range and you (who escaped because you were using a bow) need to get them up ASAP while kiting the boss.
SaR is more for reviving one guy who died, while the group suffers a minimal loss of DPS. It used to be good for reviving players who died in places too dangerous for a player res (because of AOEs or because it was swarming with mobs), because your pet could do it even while it was dead. But I haven’t been able to get it to work like that since the patch, so maybe they fixed it.
I used to use spirit of nature in pvp for team fights. Somtimes it would get targeted but other times I would just cast it and go back to my point I was holding while I could revive my team.
However, the best use by far has got to be the self rez. I always say one self-rez is good, two is even better, and 3 sucks because you are laughing too hard to play properly anymore.
Am I good?… I’m good.

Lol that triple self Rez has been the difference between defeat and victory so many times in Foefire xD
