Hello fellow rangers

I’m playing a spirit build since headstart and really enjoying it. Pretty experienced with it by now, though only still lvl 66.

My question, how important is spirits unbound when running a spirit build in PvE?

Hope some of you have and will take the time to read this through and come with some insights I overlooked or mis-judged.

1: I’m doing pretty fine by anticipating fights so I place my spirits well so my partymembers can benefit from them through most of the fight.

2: Also, most fights take place at 1 place if you know what I mean.
A group of mobs is standing somewhere waiting for your party to come nearby and the fight takes place in that surrounding. Then you move up again to the next group of mobs, boss or other type of enemy.

3: Related to point 2, recharge time of the spirits. It’s 60 seconds. That’s not that bad right? My experience tought me that in this way I can never have the spirits up 24/7 to provide their benefits if me and my party are killings mobs like: Killing mob. Run a certain distance (big enough to go out of the spirits reach), kill a mob. Run again, etc etc.
This way usually the mobs die quick enough so I can’t have my spirits up at the next group of mobs because recharge time of the spirits is to slow.
But that’s the biggest flaw I experience when not taking spirits unbound. And it’s not that of a pain. Caus 60 seconds is pretty quick and by the time we reach mobs that really require my spirits to be up caus it’s a difficult group to kill, it takes longer anyway… >>> So I can get them up again .

4: The range of the spirits which provide the benefit is pretty large right? You don’t actually have to put them in the heat of battle to make sure everyone’s covered by your spirits benefits. So in that way, (hopefully) they’re not targeted fast and killed quickly (not talking bout traits: vigorous spirits or nature’s vengeance which help in that case, not the point of my post).

So, with all this taking in account. The final question is:

Can you provide a decent spirits buff build for your party-members while not bringing trait: spirits unbound along?

I think I can, but I might miss some important things,
So I’d really like to hear your oppinion about this, I know there’s a lot of experience in the community that can bring good insights.

Played Ranger to 80+ and I can say that Spirits are useless except the elite one which “can” be useful for example in dungeons (the roots or the buff elite are still way better).

1. They die way to fast.
2. They are stationary.
3. You don’t notice the effect (except the revive which is great).
4. There are better options for utilities.

This is just my opinion but in my time playing I haven’t seen a single all-spirit-build/spirit focused build.

You will eventually come to the same conclusion.
