Anyone else played WAR? Anyhow, the Squig Herder class is pretty much the same as the Ranger; long-range class with a pet.

HOWEVER

As a Squig Herder you can spec to not use your pets. There’s a “trait” that gives you a rather significant damage boost (20-25% if I remember correctly) if you opt to not have you Squig with you.

Wouldn’t it be sorta swell if there was a Trait-line in GW2 for the Ranger that gave you bonuses as long as you didn’t use your pet?

It’s no wonder that game blows so much, when the pet class is capable of storing its pet away permanently.

The WvW / sPvP in WAR blows GW2 out of the water, but that’s not the topic here.
