Rampage as One grants both the ranger and the pet with stability. Can stability prevent the knockback/knockdown of Point Blank Shot or any skill that does the same or similar? Is there any skill that pretty much does the same thing as Point Blank Shot that can work against a target with stability?

Wow, in that case ANet needs to do something about the hacking nonsense that has taken over WvW. This is yet another case added to a growing list. I’ve never played a MMO where the hacks are so abundant and these people are being obvious about it.

I pop’ed the elite for the stability to stomp a downed enemy. All of a sudden I get sent flying ~300 units and get knocked down while in the middle of performing the stomp.

Honestly, I think I might start recording as I play. Send the bits showing the hack in action to ANet but I know people who have done this a couple times now and those same people are still playing the same character and using the same hacks. If video evidence isn’t enough to go by, then what the hell is?

I guess I’ll just set up a youtube account (I know, I know, get with the times lol) and post the parts of obvious hacking on there. No blocking which world they are from or what guild they are in either.

Record it, and upload it. I have never been interrupted in a stomp while I’m RaO, but if you can reproduce this bug, it’ll be well worth it to post the video.

One thing to note though, that since stability is a boon, it can be stripped. Are you sure you have the stability boon while performing the stomp? Regardless, recording the video itself will be enlightening, I think.

Or maybe someone just stole your stability? There is a lot of ways to dispel buff. Before calling anyone hacker, better makes sure you know what are you talking about.

Were you hit with a trebucet or such?

After the ‘WTF’ moment I checked. Not to see if it was stolen or remove (I never even thought of that) but to see if I had actually used the skill. It was on CD and all all buffs were there.

It was me and two or three others vs two or three of them (IoJ) just outside their corner spawn area. I believe that we had control of both the tower (BB) and nearby camp (BV). I also never saw any sign of any seige.

Would seige even still knock you down like that with stability?

Stability can be stripped or it could be a bug too.

I’ve been feared with stability on for sure a couple times. I assume it is a bug but I guess it could be a hack of sorts. I made sure to check I still had stability and scratched my head as I was still feared.

In other words, it could have bugged or you got boon stripped.

Stability is converted to fear if a necro corrupt boon it.

I use Stability on both my Ranger (Rampage) and my Guardian (Stand Your Ground) and quite honestly it hardly ever works.

I still get knocked down/back, get feared.. etc.

IMO, stability does absolutely nothing. I use Rampage for other abilities and with my Guardian I only use Stand Your Ground to remove conditions in my AH build. Sometimes it works, but probably 50% of the time Stability does absolutely nothing.

I dont have this issue you are having.

Siege and such won’t knock you out of it, but there are WvW traits you could take to strip boons with siege equipment. It’s quite likely that your stability was stripped or stolen in the fight though— plenty of classes have access to skills that remove or steal boons.

Well, as I said, it was a ‘WTF’ moment when it happened and so the first thing I did was check my boons. They were all still on and active.

That’s fine though, I’ve had a case of a guardian being immune to cc when the only buffs they had was one of their virtues (aegis was not that one), the buff from a precision stacking sigil, and a guild banner. I used surprise shot on my thief, did the damage, but by immobilize didn’t even register. Thinking back, that guardian did not succumb to any cc for the entire fight. It was a 4 on 1 fight, I was one of the four. He died anyway. While appearantly immune to cc, but not to conditions that cause damage and between that and the physical damage they took, he couldn’t heal through it and died.

This is in addition to five accounts of speed hacking while two of these also include actual flying.

All within a month.
