i like the suggestions but why are u making SC a light field? it’s currently a water field and it’s perfect.
Hmm, it was never mentioned anywhere it was a water field, so I didn’t know. I figured a light field would be good, so the projectiles that come in to heal also combo and give regeneration.
oh are u away from the game? someone stumbled onto it =P i think they just forgot to put it in the tooltip. i like double blast finishing the water field, it’s sweet.
why reduce the healing of staff? thats the main element.

Water fields give regen, not light fields. Light fields cleanse conditions with projectile finishers. Staff 5 is a water field as mentioned. Pretty good where it’s at.

Ah, yes, that is right! So, its perfect as is then haha! Do the projectiles actually combo and give you regen though?

lol, um, I rounded down the healing on Ancestral Grace from 1610 to 1600, the rest I rounded up. I like round numbers. I increased Astral Wisp healing by like 25%, pulsing for more Astral Force generation too.
I used the tooltips from the reveal as my source. As seen below.
Yes projectile combos will apply regen to allies that pass through it. During the Wyvern boss event in Verdant Brink, I often lay Staff 5 on top of the people within melee range of it so they can get regen from finishers.
Pretty nifty toy so far.

Love these changes. Especially love the Vine Surge change as it helps with condi management for the group. Burning on Solar Beam is also a great idea so we can benefit from condi damage.
I mean come on, it’s almost wrong to NOT run a celestial amulet with this celestial avatar spec.
Great looking changes and deffinetly something that weapon need , eaven though staff 1 still seams to need target to work and that is bigest problem i have with it.
I don’t like staff AA squashing shortbow like a bug.
Skill #2 should be torment because “omg the ghost tormenting me!”
I still think staff 1 should incorporate guardians wave of wrath aoe cone in some unique way.
Like it normally hits only 1 foe in cone . heals 3 allies in cone and dmgs upto 3 foes near each ally.
One stack of burning is hardly squashing SB. Maybe the tooltip was misleading, but I used the normal usage of 3 stacks on it, like Bonfire for example. It is meant to be 1 stack for 1s with 3 pulses. You can stack over 6 bleeds with SB AA easily, much better. Although it is an AoE in my version. But SB being lacklustre is no reason for the staff to be also, they serve different roles, the staff needs at least one good damage skill.
Another important thing to consider is that with burning being applied by solar beam we’ll occasionally get the “burn to death” animation from kills.
Who doesn’t want to go around setting people on fire with beams of sunlight? Druid will be like a ant-hater with a magnifying glass!

Staff should have been a condi/power hybrid since we already have a power (LB) and Condi (SB) ranged weapon. Druid is thematically not about power/direct damage (its more condi imo) and a hybrid weapon would help build diversity. The devs probably just made it a power weapon since they were pressed for time but it should be changed for the health of the weapon long term.
I particularly like the AOE change to staff#1 for more fluid gameplay. Devs mentioned that they wanted positioning to be important but currently we have to fight with our pet and with other party members to set up optimal usage. This is not fun for gameplay and leads to balancing issues since it can sometimes be underpowered or OP depending more upon luck than anything else in normal play.

I’d like to see staff work somewhat similar to Glyphs. All skills should have a base healing amount, and a boon, BUT, if the healing is not needed(based on a percentage of healing applied), then damage is done and a condition is applied.
Ex:
Say #1 skill does 500 healing to any targets it passed through, but all targets are fully healed, then instead, it will apply 500 damage to the target. There could be cutoff point, so that if one target only needs to be healed for 50 damage, it wont trigger the heal, and still 500 damage will be dealt.
Say another skill does AOE heal for 2000 and grants swiftness. If the heal is not needed, then 2000 damage will be applied AOE, and cripple will be applied.
I think the Staff needs just that little something extra… Take a look, tell me what you think.

i really like it, the only thing id change is probably exchange the skill 2 for a non healing / damaging skill altogether (probably powerbased) to get some more variety

I like that the OP made staff#1 skill more about condi and skill#2 more about direct damage. This makes sense to me in that you can use skill#2 for aoe tagging of mobs while using skill#1 as your main source of DPS on single targets where ramp up occurs such as on bosses.

Im pmed you, and you never replied. Lol. 600 seconds is when you get too many infractions. It sucks i know.. Ive been there multiple times
