Hey all. just got Yggdrasil for my druid and I need to choose its stats.
My question is – does anyone here uses minstrel stats? what does it good for?
I’m currently using cleric stats and I use beastmastery and nature magic for my build,
so the damage is mostly coming from my pet while I heal others.

And another question – can i change its stats later in the mystic forge?

cleric, magi, zerker, or zealots. i’d only use minstrel if you run zerg trains in wvw a lot.

Either cleric or minstrel nomad is too tanky for anything. Cleric is most likely the better choice.

Well, in a sense, yes. Yggdrasil, along with the other 8 Spec weps are just ascended weapons with a fancy skin on it. So if you throw it in the mystic toilet you’ll won’t get back Yggdrasil with new stats but rather an entirely new ascended staff with the stats you want. In other words:

Yggdrasil + Cleric’s Inscription + 5 globs + Book =/= Yggdrasil with Cleric stats.
Yggdrasil + Cleric’s Inscription + 5 globs + Book = Thedosus’ Spire

The only way to maintain the original item is to select from its 3 predefined stats. Though, if you toilet it you can technically just slap the skin back on it through your wardrobe.

this can actually be useful if your missing ascended weapon skins of a certain type. I got a few viper’s skins this way.

I’ve been trying to choose between clerics or magi myself! My friend and I always play together and we are finally starting to get asencded stuff. Just not sure if the loss of healing power for increased boon duration is worth it.

On ranger not much IMO you also lose a lot of power.

I took cleric then changed it into zealot’s thanks to the stats swapping ascended recipe.
