Scenario: thief goes stealth to stomp your friend and you lose target (you have shortbow)

0) before the fight, already have your camera positioned to the right

1) zoom

2) aim where the thief is standing manually using the right mouse button

3) fire concussion shot

4) shot lands, continue pelting with arrows, anticipating

You can also manually aim to avoid obstructed on keep walls. I hope you have as much fun with these advanced techniques as I do. Happy hunting!

What are gimmicky stuff are you up to with step 0 and 1..? It’s pretty much aim & interrupt, nothing special
Also if you know the thief is going to stealth+stomp your ally:
just hit concussion shot the second the thief goes invisible, (if you had him targeted) projectiles will remember the location of your enemy for a brief moment and just hit like any regular auto-attack

What’s the gimmck? Camera position slider is in settings…Sliding it to the right allows me to see over the ranger’s shoulder while I’m manually aiming the shortbow with nothing targeted. Zooming helps you aim (you look over the shoulder of the ranger).

Rarely do I see people do this so I thought I’d share it here. Sorry if you can’t expand your mind and try new things. Judgmental people have not the ability or werewithall to win :/

Also, this is faster than wolf. Wolf might be on cooldown. I don’t know man, I did it today and felt boss. Prevented a cap too. Only thing I had off cooldown was shortbow concussion shot and the dude stealthed. I manually interrupted his stealth stomp. It worked.

Also, do this at keep walls in wvw unless you like to see “obstructed”. Sheesh, meany faces—last time I ever give you a technique.

No! Don’t take it the wrong way!
I just didn’t get the fact you were adjusting the settings. From my point of view you were, like, looking right and zoom in for no reason and than start fighting(which didn’t make any sense)
Apart from the other methods we have to interrupt stuff it’s a good one!

Dont let this change that and keep sharing stuff x)

This can also be done with point blank shot on the longbow and hilt bash with the greatsword.

However, using projectiles to interrupt an invisible thief from stomping an ally is VERY difficult to pull off in a general combat situation for two reasons:
- You have to line up concussion shot using right click to hit a pretty small target. Just try doing the same on a stationary player in lions arch in the time frame you would have to interrupt the thief. Not so easy, is it?
- Usually I see thieves stealth then stomp the downed player in a random direction, making it impossible to know just where to aim.

If you have a greatsword with you however, I would say hilt bash would be a reliable way of interrupting invisible thieves.

Dude no scopes in FPS! Omg…my counterstrike and halo days man. I wish I do it them all over again. Halo 2 was my kitten (except it was console).
