Thanks to anets sb nerf- wth where they thinking? this has ruined the game for me now- I don’t want to be forced to play warrior/thief or mesmer but it seems those are the only ones with superb damage and here the ranger had the sb which was really only viable weapon and I logged in today to find it has been seriously nerfed -that 40 millisec is rubbish- I can see a HUGE difference!

This is anti bot nerf rubbish-thanks anet- I give up with this rubbish game and your backward punishing of players!

I’m taking a break right now cos the Ranger is way more underwhelming than I ever thought it would be. Traits are really crappy, pets are absolutely useless in WvW except bears cos they’re the only ones who can take a beating a bit, almost all our weapons are just so….meh.

That they are useless in WvWvW, alright have you ever played a longbow in 1500 range? That should answer you a lot.

I’m as well angry with the SB but they said it’s being already looked into, seems noone here searches forums, complains and makes post of “I stop playing the game, I quit it” trying to drag attention, and that’s what slowly makes the community worse. Just to point out. Go out a bit, try different things..

its a warrior’s world, we’re just living in it….

Have you tried engineer? They can’t kill anyone at range. I bet a scepter guardian could take down a rifle engineer.

I came back from a trip this weekend to play lastnight and was like WTF something is wrong with my SB. Now I know. Whiners ruin every game. This game will be easier to quit than WoW because its not pay to play.

Yes I run LB/SB in WvW. LB is only ever useful for it’s auto attack ONLY at max range and for Barrage. Every other skill is used once then you switch to your SB for the damage, but then SB is now.. -_- Every other weapon is so far behind it’s not even funny.

Have you played a Engineer Wulfrim? They are the best class at PvE and Keep defenses and they are still crying and wanting their kits buffed, its ridiculous.

The longbow in WvW is a bad stand-up comedy act.

Then I actually would ask you to level a ranger, cos it’s almost universally regarded as the one of the weakest WvW classes right now.

I’m seriously considering giving up my ranger, the class has become so useless it’s not even funny.

If you’ve stopped playing, get off the forums and stop telling us about it. We don’t care that you’ve stopped- Nobody does.

And to be fair regarding the patch, I’m just grateful for them fixing the dynamics in Orr.

Now I have something to use my shortbow on.

AN try to be better than Blizzard, wants to new stuff to this industry. TBH, this combat system is new, but other parts? Sorry, not seeing any game better than WOW on same style games. GW2 have so many bugs, many unconfortable places through the whole game, a lot detail are not well designed. Maybe AN just want to share some cake before LOTRO new version take it all, so they give us an defective product.

I was wondering why I was dying more last night than I ever do. My SB+QZ has been my lifesaver, dropping mobs before they can drop me. But last night I was getting smoked and was forced to actually use sword/torch for better damage. Yes, my ranger was more effective at melee.

Well, at the moment im rank 35 with about 74% of my games as a ranger. I got more than 300 wins in tournaments as a ranger.

I tried all the other classes and ranger is the only one i REALLY like to play.

We were not a top tier class at all. Try 1v1 equally skilled and well built necros/ele’s/mesmers and you’ll see.
Also shortbow was the only weapon viable and seriously the only really usefull traits are squirmishing and survival.

All this to say that rangers we’re a “Meh” class. Now its really bad compared to the other classes, this wasnt necessary at all.
Ask yourself : Why would you take a ranger in your tournament team ? What do they do better than the other classes ? If you ask me i can’t really awnser.

I’ll stop the game for something more competitive like SC2 or LoL till balance is polished (its actually quite good, just needs some adjustements) and ratings are introduced.

I dont really know how this nerf feels in PvE and WvW for you guys but i guess it sucks too.

Shortbow was only thing that made rangers viable and they just nerfed it into the ground to fix “graphics issues” that no one can even identify. What in the world is Anet thinking? Probably quitting the game now. I don’t have the motivation to sink another 200 hours into a different class when they might make more idiotic changes like this.

i’ll be taking a break from my ranger from any form of pvp.

Damage isn’t the end-all in this or any other game. Besides, we can’t all be as faceroll as GS warriors or DD thieves, that’d make the game boring

Of course rifle engies can’t kill at range, they’re a melee class in disguise.

I’m taking a break because trying to play a ranger anywhere is asking to be accidentally reported for botting. When someone is mass clicking on names, if you are accidentally in that pile, you may ‘get it’.

When they figure out how to let us be within 20 meters of an event without competing with botting rangers, I might try again.

Putting “mesmer” and “superb damage” on the same sentence made me laugh.

I found the graphics prob… after the patch :/
