Storm Spirit Does anyone use it???
I tired spirits before they removed their ability to move. Storm I always found to be pointless. Sadly I think spirits overall are a bit lost. They have so much potential, but it seems wasted in a way.
I ran spirits sometimes when they were a thing in pvp but now that they aren’t i would never consider putting it on my bar, if i wanted swiftness THAT bad i’d buy a sigil lol
No.
Am I good?… I’m good.
If I’m running a spirit build storm spirit is one I take, I’ll normally place it far more aggressively than the others and use it for the AoE daze. The swiftness is really nice though since it helps your teammates move around the fight, and get point to point faster, but our shout builds bring a LOT more than storm spirit.
I think the worst thing about storm spirit is when traited it doesn’t give you kitten. The spirit already gives perma (or kitten near perma) swiftness, so we don’t need or want 1s of it pulsing.
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna
I essentially never use Storm Spirit. Swiftness is, IMO, the absolute most pointless combat buff in the game. I guess maybe in PvP / WvW its probably useful, but seeing as I don’t do those modes but rather am a dirty casual PvE player, Swiftness serves very little purpose for me except for out of combat movement. And since Storm Spirit only works in combat… yah. No. If I’m running a pure Spirit build its always Sun / Stone / Frost.
The pulsing boon from Nature’s Vengeance could have been the one thing that would have ever made me consider using Storm Spirit, as the pulsing buffs essentially mean perma-buffs for your pet thanks to Fortifying Bond. If it was actually something good, I might have used it for that alone. But no, they give it more freaking Swiftness. Now I can get triple perma-swiftness on my pet from Call of the Wild, Storm Spirit’s trigger buff, and Storm Spirit’s pulsing. Woop de doo.
